A new bi-capped Keggin heteropoly molybdovanadated derivative, [Co (en)3]2[SiMo8V6O42]∙6H2O (1) (en = ethylendiamine) has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by the elemental analysis, IR, XPS and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal structure analysis reveals that compound 1 consists of [Co (en)3]2+transition metal coordination fragment and the [SiMo8V6O42]4-building blocks, which are linked together via hydrogen-bonding interactions to form a new 3-D supramolecular networks.

A new supramolecular compound, [Co (en)3]2[H3PMo8V6O42]∙5H2O (1) has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by the elemental analysis, IR and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 consists of [Co (en)2]2+ transition metal coordination fragment, [H3PMo8V6O42]4- building blocks and crystal water molecules, which are linked together via hydrogen-bonding interactions to form a new 3-D supramolecular networks. The degradation of methylene blue (MB) under UV-vis irradiation with 1 as the heterogeneous photocatalyst has been investigated, showing a good photocatalytic property of 1 for MB degradation.

Modifying polyoxometalates with organic and/or metal-organic moieties is a widely adopted method for broading the range of properties. In this work a new polyoxometalate constructed from Anderson-type polyoxoanions and L-arginine (Arg =L-arginine) molecules Na [CrMo6(OH)6O18]}(H2Arg)2·8H2O(1) has been synthesized via conventional method and characterized by routine techniques. Single-crystal X-Ray diffraction analysis shows that compound 1 is constructed by chiralL-arginine grafted Anderson-type clusters, sodium cation and water molecules which are further stabilized by hydrogen bonding interactions constitute 3D supramolecular networks. In addition, both antitumor behavior and photocatalytic activities of compound 1 were investigated.

A new Eu complex [Eu (C3O9H6)] ·2(H2O) has been synthesized from a hydrothermal reaction and the crystal structure has been determined by means of single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The Eu atom is coordinated by eight O atoms. The molecular is antisymmetric structure by the C3-C3 axis. It is striking that the structure of the complex exhibits extensive O-H…O hydrogen-bonding interactions.

This work is focused on the synthesis and structure characterization of the novel Cu(I) π-complex [Cu2(Thiaz1)2(ClO4)2] (1) with 2-allylamino-5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole (Thiaz1) ligand. The crystals of the compound were obtained by means of the alternating-current electrochemical technique and studied using single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal structure of the complex 1 is constructed from the centrosymmetric dimers, in which two copper(I) ions are coordinated by two Thiaz1 molecules through thiadiazole N atoms and allylic C=C bond. Energy framework computational analysis for structure 1 has been performed.

AbstractBis(2-aminopyrimidine-N)diaquabis(saccharinato-O)copper(II) di(2-aminopyrimidine), [Cu(sac-O)2(ampym-N)2(H2O)2] · 2ampym was synthesized and characterized by means of elemental analysis, IR and UV-vis spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility, simultaneous TG, DTG, DTA techniques, and X-ray diffraction. The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c [a = 7.4697(5), b = 10.1679(5), c = 22.743(2)Å , β = 92.844(5), Z = 2, R = 0.0275, wR= 0.0757, V = 1725.26(19) Å3]. The copper atom is bonded to two ampym N atoms and two sac O atoms as well as to two water O atoms in trans positions in the geometry of a distorted octahedron. There are also two ampym moieties as solvate molecules in the unit cell. The crystal structure is stabilized by N-H· · ·O, O-H· · ·N and C-H· · ·O type hydrogen bonding interactions. Intermolecular π−π interactions between the phenyl rings of ampym groups and C-H· · ·π interactions also support the packing of the molecules. The thermal decomposition of the complex has been studied.

The sandwich-type complex Na(H2O)6(C6H16O3N)2[Na2(H2O)7(C6H16O3N)]2[(Na(H2O)2)3- (Cu(H2O))3(BiW9O33)2]・14H2O (1) (C6H16O3N+ = protonated triethanolamine) has been synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy and TG analysis. The basic framework of 1 is built from a sandwich-type [(Na(H2O)2)3- (Cu(H2O))3(BiW9O33)2]9− anion, two [Na2(H2O)7(C6H16O3N)]3+ cations, a free Na(H2O)6+ cation, and two free C6H16O3N+ units. In compound 1, the [(Na(H2O)2)3(Cu(H2O))3- (BiW9O33)2]9− anion links two bi-nuclear units [Na2(H2O)7(C6H16O3N)]3+ to form a [Na2- (H2O)7(C6H16O3N)]2[(Na(H2O)2)3(Cu(H2O))3(BiW9O33)2]3− cluster, and a new 3D supramolecular structure is further constructed by hydrogen bonding interactions among this cluster, the free Na(H2O)6+ cation, and the free C6H16O3N+ cations. Crystal data: Cu3Na8Bi2W18C24H150O121N4, monoclinic, C2/c, a = 14.5668(13), b = 23.0405(13), c = 37.412(2) Å , β = 91.569(10)° , Z = 4.
