In this paper, hydraulic model experiment is performed for comparing the agitation ability of the coherent blowing and the top-bottom blowing. And numerical simulation is implemented for studying the influence of the concomitant flow temperature and pressure on the core space of the main jet. And the results show that the agitation ability of the coherent blowing and the top-bottom blowing is considerable. And the core space of the main jet of lance increases along with the increasing of the concomitant flow temperature under a certain pressure.

Based on Anshan Iron and Steel Company 180t top-bottom converter prototype, the operating parameters and the structural parameters for best stirring effect of bottom-blowing converter and top-bottom converter was given by the hydraulic model test in this article. Coherent jet oxygen lance converter smelting effect was simulated under the condition of keeping the best top blowing gas flow rate. The experiment result shows that coherent jet oxygen lance may achieve the result of top-bottom converter stirring effect. If coherent jet oxygen lance could be applied in the converter, bottom blowing system of converter could be canceled. In that case, not only the converter equipment can be simplified, but also the converter lining life can be improved, bring steel-making technology transformation.

A hydraulic model is used to study the flowing process within a bottom-blowing furnace designed by a company, and the VOF model is adopted to simulate its process. The VOF method can describe the formation, growing up and separation actions in theorizing process by comparing the simulation and experimental results, and this is a foundation of using a model to research the thermal process of the bottom-blowing furnace. It is indicated that a nozzle with disperse spouts can stir a larger zone, by comparing the influence on flowing process of four nozzles with different structures. The disperse spouts are benefit to increase the stirring and reaction efficiencies, but the pressure fluctuations near the nozzle export is more obvious, and it may affect the lifespan of the nozzle.

The integrated technology of oxygen blowing and bottom blowing was the core of EAF combined-blowing. Today's process model can not exactly describe the control of combined-blowing. In this paper, the EAF steelmaking history data was analyzed by K-medoids clustering algorithm which is data mining technology. Different clustering results were obtained under the cost of steelmaking, oxygen consumption, and etc. Finally, the optimizing combined-blowing curve is found out by analyzing the classified results. In the early of smelting, the flow rate of No.1 oxygen lance and No.2 oxygen lance is increased to improve the strength of decarburization and the pace of smelting. In the late of smelting, door oxygen lance starts to be used for dynamics conditions of carbon-oxygen reaction. The two bottom blowing lance use argon instead of nitrogen after 21 minutes in order to protect the steel components.
