The traditional quality analysis system has many disadvantages such as the bulky, expensive, fixed functional modules, poor extension, monotonous display etc. Combined with the virtual instrument technology, the paper propose design ideas of instrument Virtual power quality analysis based on LabWindows/CVI, including design of hardware circuit and software, obtain harmonic amplitude and phase by making use of fast Fourier transform. The analyzer has high accuracy, stable, and good anti-jamming performance, meet the electric power system testing requirements.

This paper presents a software design useful for power quality analysis and data management. The software was programmed in LabVIEW and Oracle, running on Windows in a regular PC. LabVIEW acquires data continuously from the lower machine via TCP/IP. Using its database connection toolkit, LabVIEW accesses to Oracle to stores and retrieve the power quality data according to different indicators. A friendly GUI was built for data display and user operation, taking advantage of the powerful data-handling capacity of LabVIEW and its rich controls. Moreover, Excel reports can be exported using report generation toolkit in LabVIEW. The software greatly improves the data analysis and management capacity.

The introduction of the virtual instrument technology provides new ideas for the developments of the temperature acquisition. This paper presents the design of temperature acquisition system based on VI technology. This system takes LABVIEW as the software development platform, simulating environmental temperature parameters via temperature sensors and heaters. Through the USB-6009 data collecting cards environmental temperature is sent to LABVIEW software platform for analysis. The system has the functions of data acquisition, display, storage, callback, save, analysis, printing statements and limit alarm processing and so on, and completes the real-time collection and analysis of the temperature.

Virtual Instrument Technology represents the future direction of development of the instrument. At present, it is very popular that Virtual instrument is applied to test technology experiment in developed countries. The virtual integrated experimental platform of testing technology was designed based on the LabVIEW software, including signal generator, signal superimposed meter, digital filters, signal spectrum analyzer, noise signal detection and analysis system. The comprehensive experimental platform can replace the traditional equipment and can easily extend its functionality. It can provide students with a virtual integrated experimental platform.

In this paper, we used Lab VIEW development platform, designed a virtual signal acquisition and analysis system based on the soundcard. In addition we studied the signal acquisition performance of it. This system has functions of signal acquisition, analysis, waveform display and storage. It is easy to use with good interface, and function appending is available on user requirement. It offers a kind of DAQ solution with low cost. It has broad application prospect, can be extended to the field of speech recognition, ambient noise monitoring and laboratory measurement etc.

This paper introduces the design and development of a LabVIEW-based power quality analysis software, focusing on the four important indicators of power quality: frequency deviation,voltage deviation, three-phase unbalance and harmonics. Accuracy of the software is proven through experiment, demonstrating the high efficiency of LabVIEW in the development of power quality analyzer.
