The introduction of the virtual instrument technology provides new ideas for the developments of the temperature acquisition. This paper presents the design of temperature acquisition system based on VI technology. This system takes LABVIEW as the software development platform, simulating environmental temperature parameters via temperature sensors and heaters. Through the USB-6009 data collecting cards environmental temperature is sent to LABVIEW software platform for analysis. The system has the functions of data acquisition, display, storage, callback, save, analysis, printing statements and limit alarm processing and so on, and completes the real-time collection and analysis of the temperature.

Virtual Instrument Technology represents the future direction of development of the instrument. At present, it is very popular that Virtual instrument is applied to test technology experiment in developed countries. The virtual integrated experimental platform of testing technology was designed based on the LabVIEW software, including signal generator, signal superimposed meter, digital filters, signal spectrum analyzer, noise signal detection and analysis system. The comprehensive experimental platform can replace the traditional equipment and can easily extend its functionality. It can provide students with a virtual integrated experimental platform.

In this paper, we used Lab VIEW development platform, designed a virtual signal acquisition and analysis system based on the soundcard. In addition we studied the signal acquisition performance of it. This system has functions of signal acquisition, analysis, waveform display and storage. It is easy to use with good interface, and function appending is available on user requirement. It offers a kind of DAQ solution with low cost. It has broad application prospect, can be extended to the field of speech recognition, ambient noise monitoring and laboratory measurement etc.

According to the rapid development and widespread application of virtual instrument technology, a design with serial port and the audio card of PC as the main hardware and LabVIEW as the software development platform is proposed. Not only can it generates and output basic waveform, arbitrary formula wave and hand-painted waveform in real time, but also realizes the function of the oscilloscope system, including: channel selection, collecting and display waveform data in real-time, parameter measurement, spectrum analysis etc. This multi-functional virtual instrument has the advantages of friendly-machine interface, easy to transplant and modify and good scalability. And it has broad prospects in the field of testing, measurement and teaching practice.

The symbol structure of PDF417 barcode was introduced in detail, and a recognition and decoding system of PDF417 barcode based on software development platform of the LabVIEW virtual instrument was designed and implemented. The system can process and analyze the images containing PDF417 barcode collected by camera in real time, achieve the fast and omnibearing decoding of the barcode.

This paper puts forward a method to control the industrial robots based on the NI Corporations LabVIEW virtual instrument technology. By designing the communication protocol between the LabVIEW software program on PC and industrial robots, the LabVIEW program can take the control of industrial robots by using RS232 serial ports, including the operation instructions' transmission, the feedback of the robots' running, and the data exchange between the two. The result shows that can effectively realize the motion control of industrial robots based on LabVIEW.

In order to facilitate dynamic analysis of spindle, improve the vibration characteristics of the spindle and achieve the goal of control of spindle motion stability. A spindle vibration testing system is developed with necessary sensor, signal conditioner and data acquisition card based on Labview software in this paper. The spindle vibration testing and analysis system is formed based on virtual instrument graphical programming language Labview. The hardware is reduced in testing process. At the same time, acquisition, processing and analysis for vibration signal are realized, and the costs of hardware are greatly reduced. The testing work is made more convenient and quick by this system, and test is made more intuitive by its real-time display function. It will provide a scientific basis for searching for measures to reduce the spindle vibration and developing a new generation of mechanical structure of the spindle.

Partial discharge (PD) measurement is an essential to detect and diagnose the existence of the PD. However, this measurement has faced noise disturbance in industrial environments. Thus, PD analysis system using discrete wavelet transform (DWT) denoising technique via Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench (LabVIEW) software is proposed to distinguish noise from the measured PD signal. In this work, the performance of denoising process is analyzed based on calculated mean square error (MSE) and signal to noise ratio (SNR). The result is manipulated based on Haar, Daubechies, Coiflets, Symlets and Biorthogonal type of mother wavelet with different decomposition levels. From the SNR results, all types of the mother wavelet are suitable to be used in denoising technique since the value of SNR is in large positive value. Therefore, further studies were conducted and found out that db14, coif3, sym5 and bior5.5 wavelets with least MSE value are considered good to be used in the denoising technique. However, bior5.5 wavelet is proposed as the most optimum mother wavelet due to consistency of producing minimum value of MSE and followed by db14.

With piezoelectric acceleration sensor, charge voltage filter amplifier, data acquisition card, PC and vibration experiment table for hardware development platform, and LABVIEW for software development platform, virtual instrument technology was applied to the design of mechanical vibration test system. This test system mainly consists of data acquisition, time domain analysis, amplitude domain analysis, frequency domain analysis, time-frequency analysis module. Experimental results indicate: The system not only can perform real-time data acquisition of multiple channels signal, waveform display, data storage, signal analysis, playback measurement and output printing etc, but also has good expansibility, high speed, high accuracy and friendly interface. It is suitable for engineering personnel and laboratory use.

For the study dynamic characteristics of three-dimensional roll forming machine, this paper develops a dynamic characteristics measurement and analysis system of three-dimensional roll forming machine, which is based on the U.S. NI company software development platform, including the development of hardware and software part .The realization of dimensional roll forming machine dynamics parameters collection and analysis, the experiment proved that the test system can be easily field measurements demand dynamics parameters, to improve the three-dimensional roll forming machine precision and control accuracy to provide an experimental basis.
