Isosoma Allynii, n. s.Female.—Average length .10 of an inch. Color of body and antennæ uniform black, the first with a slight greenish lustre. Head about .025 of an inch wide, about two thirds as long; the antennæ a little enlarged at the ends, hairy, microscopic hairs moderately scattered over the head and thorax. Thorax, as well as head, punctured; wings hyaline, dotted over with microscopic hairs, the thorax in its widest part about the width of the head. Abdomen gradually tapering from near the base, the ovipositor slightly exserted. The color of the legs vary slightly; in five specimens the anterior and posterior legs have the femurs fuscous except at the ends; the tibiæ with basal half fuscous, the rest yellow; the terminal joint of tarsi fuscous, the rest yellow; the middle pair of legs are yellow throughout except the terminal tarsi. Two specimens have all the femurs fuscous, yellow at the ends. One specimen has all the femurs pale red, and the tibiæ fuscous, but this is probably a change from yellow by the poison bottle used in killing. One is marked like the first five, with the yellow replaced by pale red; another is like the first five, except that the middle tibiæ are a little clouded at base.

Two new species of Hemiosus (Coleoptera: Hydrophilidae) from the central cordillera of the Colombian Andes are described. Hemiosus molanoi González-Rodríguez & García-Hernández sp. nov. and H. quindiensis González-Rodríguez & Clarkson sp. nov. are described based in 56 adult specimens collected in river-associated sandy puddles (26 specimens of H. molanoi sp. nov.) and temporary puddles near crops (26 specimens of H. quindiensis sp. nov.). Both species are identified mainly by characteristics of the aedeagus: Hemiosus molanoi sp. nov. has subtriangular parameres, median lobe shorter than parameres and longer than appendices which are acuminate and phallobase shorter than parameres, strongly asymmetrical in basal two-fifths; H. quindiensis sp. nov. has parameres gradually tapering towards rounded apices, median lobe shorter than parameres and longer than appendices which are acuminate and phallobase shorter than parameres, strongly asymmetrical in basal half. Dorsal coloration pattern, overall shape of the meso- and metaventral process and abdominal ventrites are also informative to distinguish the new species from remaining described Hemiosus. Diagnoses, illustrations and habitat characteristics are provided.

This paper includes descriptions of a new species of Iziphya Nevsky and one of Euschizaphis Hille Ris Lambers. The former genus is well represented in North America, but Euschizaphis, which is best known for its association with the Juncaginaceae, has not been previously recorded from the western hemisphere.Iziphya punctatella, new speciesApterous Viviparous Female.–Colour when alive: Ground colour of head and body yellow with black spots around the bases of most of the setae (Fig. 4). Antennae dark except for the basal half of segment III which is yellow; apex of rostrum dark; legs black except apical two-thirds of tibiae which are colourless. Colour when macerated: Essentially as when alive, but yellow areas colourless or nearly so.

Eupelmus reduvii n. sp.—Female.—Average length of body 2.4 mm. Average wing expanse 4.6 mm. Head slightly wider than thorax, which is of equal width with abdomen. Antennæ sub-clavate, as long as thorax. Collar rather long, much narrowed in front and concave above. Anterior half of mesothotacic scutum convex ; a broad, longitudinal depression posteriorly, the anterior corners of which are extended on in the parapsidal furrows. Scutellum small, much narrowed in front.

Two new species of Helicopsychidae from Pará State, Brazil, are described and illustrated: male of Helicopsyche (Feropsyche) carajas n. sp. is characterized by segment X having 8 pairs of subequal megasetae distributed in a pair of longitudinal rows; the primary branch of each gonocoxite, in lateral view, with its basal half nearly as broad as its median part and parallel-sided, its posterior apex directed slightly ventrad and slender and strongly pointed; the dorsal lobes of the endotheca posteriorly protruding, and the lateral lobes of the endotheca well developed. Helicopsyche (Feropsyche) inflata n. sp. is characterized by the hind wings each having very long fringes along the anal border; the primary branch of each gonocoxite having a pointed apex in lateral view and its basimesal lobe being triangular in lateral and ventral views and bearing eight megasetae; and the dorsal lobe of the endotheca being very well developed in lateral view.

Abstract—A synopsis of Dicliptera (Acanthaceae) for Brazil is presented. Six species are recognized: Dicliptera ciliaris, D. sexangularis, and D. squarrosa, widely distributed in South America; D. purpurascens, which ranges from the North Region of Brazil (in the state of Acre) to eastern Bolivia; D. gracilirama, a new species from the Atlantic Forest of northeastern Brazil; and D. granchaquenha, a new species recorded in dry and semideciduous forests in Bolivia and western Brazil, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Furthermore, we propose new synonyms and designate lectotypes for eleven names. An identification key to the six accepted Dicliptera species in Brazil is provided.

Abstract—Two new diploid species, Aira minoricensis and Aira hercynica, are described and illustrated, along with chromosome counts, risk assessment, distribution and habitat, phenology, and comparisons with morphologically similar species. A comparative table and a key for the species of Aira for the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands are provided to assist in the identification of these overlooked species, and their relationships to other taxa are discussed.

Abstract Bed-by-bed sampling of twelve Barremian sections in southeastern France from pelagic basin (Vocontian Basin) to neritic platforms (Arc of Castellane, Arc of Nice and Provencal Domain) has enabled the collection of isochronous samples of the ammonite genus Gassendiceras. Three poorly known species of the Toxancyloceras vandenheckei Zone (Upper Barremian) are revised: G. alpinum, G. multicostatum and G. hoheneggeri; two new species are described (G. rebouleti nov. sp. and G. bosellii nov. sp.). The intraspecific variability of particular species was recognised. This variability is between slender peramorphic and robust paedomorphic extreme morphologies, with the presence of all intermediates.

This paper continues the publication of new data obtained during field studies in remote and poorly studied regions of Laos in 2015–2018. It provides descriptions of two new species (Bulbophyllum brachyscapum Aver. and Sunipia saccata Aver.), emended descriptions of two previously published but insufficiently known species (Cleisostoma verrucosum Aver., Oberonia vesiculifera Aver.) and reports of eight species newly recorded in the flora of Laos (Biermannia calcarata Aver., Bulbophyllum farreri (W. W. Sm.) Seidenf., Didymoplexiella trichechus (J. J. Sm.) Garay, Eria eriopsidobulbon C. S. P. Parish et Rchb. fil., Habenaria ciliolaris Kraenzl., Liparis caudata Aver. et K. S. Nguyen, Odontochilus umbrosus (Aver.) Ormerod, and Porpax ustulata (C. S. P. Parish et Rchb. fil.) Rolfe). Appropriate citations of regional literature, colour illustrations, data on types and distribution, descriptions, etymology, as well as notes on taxonomy and related species are provided for the studied species.
