Empathy is the feeling that a person can step out virtually from his/her own world and enter the internal world of another person.  In simple notation, empathy means the ability to ‘feel with’ other people, to sense what they are experiencing.  Empathy is different than sympathy.  It is a hard-wired capacity many of the people today is lacking. A psychological study has found that many people are suffering from Empathy Deficit Disorder (EDD). EDD gets severe by the increasingly polarized social and political culture especially in the under developed countries.  Lack of empathy and social wellness can be very damaging to the families, organizations and countries. This research investigates how compassion can be trained as a coping strategy to build social wellness using augmented reality on our young generations.  Smart and empathic citizens are the key to the success of Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0.

Many young children with ASD have difficulty learning the language spoken. Some kids can use just single words while others can create sounds. Someone else couldn't talk at all. Communication is a vital skill in life that contributes to improved interactions and quality of life. Researchers think it's difficult for all young children who have communication impairments to generate and maintain a mental representation in conjunction with the instant fact, that building capabilities are critical. A child with ASD can be taught to interact in numerous distinct ways. For example, a child can study to use the sign language, exchange objects or images and use a voice output electronic device. All these methods of communication are efficient and useful, but we would also like to teach the child to interact with the language spoken. The questionnaire has been distributed to the target user who is a special education teachers from PEMATA for user acceptance testing. Each respondent runs individual tests after the developer provides a brief explanation of the application. They need to scan and test the augmented reality applications on recipe book.

Learning media for young children is a tool used to introduce the theme as teaching materials or what is often called the curriculum for early childhood. The more sense tools are involved in the learning process, the more likely the child understands the information presented by the teacher. Recently, learning media still uses face to face methods or books. Meanwhile, early childhood is easily bored and more interested in new things. This research aims to develop a Learning media that used to introduce animals using Augmented Reality (AR) so that children can know the environment and food needed by the introduced animal. 83% of teachers and 91% of students enjoy using the application in animal recognition. KEYWORDS    Learning Media, Animal Recognition, Augmented Reality, Mobile Phone
