The cross section for the photoproduction of gravitons in magnetic dipole fields which are due to steady currents is calculated. The approach and the results are compared with the previously studied case in which no currents exist and the potential is represented by a scalar. The calculations in both cases are completely covariant and electromagnetically gauge invariant. The radiative corrections to order [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] in the nonrelativistic and relativistic limits are also calculated for dipole and Coulomb fields, respectively. Their evaluation is particularly simple in the transverse traceless gauge for the gravitational field.

We show that the cross section of the Δ(1230) production in the γp → pπ+ π− reaction at forward angles and with unpolarized photons can be described in terms of gauge invariant one pion t-channel exchange amplitudes. Proper description of the polarized cross sections requires, however, the inclusion of contributions from the baryon exchanges.

We applied collinear expansion to the semi-inclusive deeply inelastic lepton-nucleon (nucleus) scattering process [Formula: see text] with both polarized beam and polarized target up to twist-3, and unpolarized process up to twist-4. The differential cross section and azimuthal asymmetries are expressed in terms of gauge invariant twist-3 and twist-4 TMD parton distribution/correlation functions. Measurements of such azimuthal asymmetries provide methods to study different spin and transverse momentum aspects of the partonic structure of nucleon. We further study the nuclear dependence of azimuthal asymmetries and adopt Gaussian ansatz for TMD distribution/correlation functions to estimat the semi-quantitive behaviour of the nuclear dependence. We predict the A-dependence of azimuthal asymmetries which can be tested in the planned EIC’s.
