Na conclusão, destaca o sentido da passagem examinada e a considera como comprovação e “notável endosso do próprio Paulo à imagem que dele guardaram e retraçam as epístolas dêutero-paulinas: ele é um/o inspirado e autorizado cristólogo das origens cristãs”.Abstract: This article was originally presented at the Theological Week organised, in 2001, by the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ) and by the Franciscan Theological Institute (ITF) in Petrópolis, an event that had as its main topic the neo-testamentary Christology. Brother Simão, with great explanatory clarity and methodological exactitude, proposes an original and novel reading of a Pauline passage (2Cor 3.18). The Author pinpoints the difficulties presented by the translation of this passage, and suggests a specific reading that points to a different direction from the one normally followed by the exegetes. In the conclusion, he highlights the meaning of the passage under scrutiny and sees it as Paul’s own corroboration and “exceptional endorsement of an image of his that has been maintained and retraced by the deutero-Pauline epistles, namely, that he is an/the inspired and authorized christologist of the Christian origins”.
