Cloud Computing is the important buzzword in the today’s world of computer. Cloud is global platform that allows digital information to be stored and distributed at very less cost and very fast to use. In these days since the data is very big in size many users are interested to store their valuable data in the cloud .The application software and databases in cloud computing are moved to the centralized large data centers, where the management of the data and services may not be fully trustworthy. Cloud Computing is scalable, fast, flexible, and cost-effective technology platform for IT enabled services over the internet. There are various advantages of cloud computing but ultimately cloud service users have to put their data over the cloud i.e., third party servers which are not directly controlled by the data owner Data security has consistently been a major issue in information technology In cloud computing in users perspective mainly in government ,industry and business Data security and ivacy protection issues are relevant to both hardware and software in the cloud architecture. Cloud security is becoming a key differentiator and competitive edge between cloud providers. In spite of various benefits that are provided by the cloud computing services, cloud computing service users are very much afraid about the security of their data .So this paper focuses on various issues regarding cloud computing, data security and how cloud provides data integrity, confidentiality, availability over user’s data? How data stored over cloud storage servers will be protected from attackers? Risk management of data present on the Cloud is another challenge. There is a requirement to identify the risks an organization would be taking while hosting data and services on the Cloud. In this paper, we present those issues that are preventing people from adopting the cloud and to minimize risks of these issues.

Cloud is considered as future of Information Technology. User can utilized the cloud on pay-as-you use basis. But many organizations are stringent about the adoption of cloud computing due to their concern regarding the security of the stored data. Therefore, issues related to security of data in the cloud have become very vital. Data security involves encrypting the data and ensuring that suitable policies are imposed for sharing those data. There are several data security issues which need to be addressed. These issues are: data integrity, data intrusion, service availability, confidentiality and non-repudiation. Many schemes have been proposed for ensuring data security in cloud environment. But the existing schemes lag in fulfilling all these data security issues. In this chapter, a new Third Party Auditor based scheme has been proposed for secured storage and retrieval of client's data to and from the cloud service provider. The scheme has been analysed and compared with some of the existing schemes with respect to the security issues. From the analysis and comparison it can be observed that the proposed scheme performs better than the existing schemes.

With the growth of cloud computing technology, more and more Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) begin to provide cloud computing service to users and ask for users’ permission of using their data to improve the quality of service (QoS). Since these data are stored in the form of plain text, they bring about users’ worry for the risk of privacy leakage. However, the existing watermark embedding and encryption technology is not suitable for protecting the Right to Be Forgotten. Hence, we propose a new Cloud-User protocol as a solution for plain text outsourcing problem. We only allow users and CSPs to embed the ciphertext watermark, which is generated and embedded by Trusted Third Party (TTP), into the ciphertext data for transferring. Then, the receiver decrypts it and obtains the watermarked data in plain text. In the arbitration stage, feature extraction and the identity of user will be used to identify the data. The fixed Hamming distance code can help raise the system’s capability for watermarks as much as possible. Extracted watermark can locate the unauthorized distributor and protect the right of honest CSP. The results of experiments demonstrate the security and validity of our protocol.

Implementing cloud computing provides many paths for web-based service. But, data security and privacy requirement become an important problem that limits several cloud applications. One of the key security and privacy concerns is the fact that cloud service suppliers have access to data. This concern greatly reduces the usability of cloud computing in many areas, such as financial business and government agencies. This paper focuses on this important issue and suggests a new approach, so cloud providers cannot directly access data. The proposed approach is divided into two sides: upload side and download side. In upload side, there is three stages, at the first stage; the transmitted file is splitted and then encrypted in order to achieve the data security requirement. At the second stage, the splitted data are integrity checked by MD5 algorithm, in order to achieve integrity requirement. At the third stage, the checked splitted data are stored separately in three -clouds, in order to achieve distribution requirement. In download side, also there is three stages. At the first stage, the data is retrieved from the three-clouds. At the second stage, data integrity is performed using MD5. At the third stage, data decryption and merging are done. The proposed approach is successfully implemented on (25 KB) image. The proposed model is successfully implemented in uploading side dependent on shares3 because provide high security with total time of (8.144 sec), and in downloading side with total side of (9.42).

Data security in the cloud continues to be a huge concern. The adoption of cloud services continues to increase with more businesses transitioning from on premise technology infrastructures to outsourcing cloud-based infrastructures. As the cloud becomes more popular, users are increasingly demanding control over critical security elements of the data and technology assets that are in the cloud. In addition, there are still cries for greater data and security in the cloud. The goal of this paper is to provide cloud service users with greater control over data security in the cloud while at the same time optimizing overall security in the multi-tenant cloud computing environment. This paper introduces cloud-based intelligent agents that are configurable by the users and are expected to give greater compliance for data security in any of the cloud service models.

Cloud computing refers to the basic setup for an emerging model of service delivery, that has the advantage of decreasing the cost by sharing computing, infrastructure including storage resources. This can be combined with on-demand delivery mechanism relying on a pay-per-use model. Cloud computing offers an added level of risk because of essential services provided by it to a third party, which makes it difficult to maintain data privacy and security. Security in cloud computing is a critical aspect, which has various issues and challenges related to it. Cloud service providers/ brokers and the cloud service users should make aware of safety cloud. That is the cloud is safe enough from all kinds of the threats, so that the users do not face any problem like; loss of data or data theft. There is a possibility that, a malicious user can enters the cloud by imitating an authentic user, thus corrupt the entire cloud. It can affect many users who are sharing these types of clouds. This chapter mentions the list of parameters that disturb the security of the cloud. This also explores the cloud security issues and challenges faced by cloud service provider/brokers and cloud service users like; data, privacy, and infected application. Finally, it discusses the countermeasure for handling these issues and its challenges.

Cloud computing has given a bloom to the technical world by providing various services. Data storage is the essential factor for the users who are having or working with lots and lots of data. Cloud data storage becomes the only way to store and maintain the large data, which can be accessed from anywhere and anytime. The open nature of cloud computing leads to some security issues. With respect to the cloud data storage, the Cloud Service Provider (CSP) has to provide security for the data outsourced. Data owner will be concerned on the data correctness after outsourcing into the cloud. To verify the data correctness, ensuring the state of data at the cloud data storage is needed, which is performed with the help of a Trusted Third Party Auditor (TTPA). Data owner can also perform the verification task, but it leads to computation cost and communication costs in huge amount. This survey gives a brief on public auditing schemes to explore what are all the system models designed by various researchers.

Abstract Cloud computing has become a victorious archetype for data storage, as well as for computation purposes. Greater than ever it concerns user’s privacy, so that data security in a cloud is increasing day by day. Ensuring security and privacy for data organization and query dispensation in the cloud is important for superior and extended uses of cloud based technologies. Cloud users can barely have the full benefits of cloud computing if we can ensure the real user’s privacy and his data security concerns this approach along with storing thin-skinned personal information in databases and software spread around the cloud. There are numerous service suppliers in WWW (World Wide Web), who can supply each service as a cloud. These cloud services will switch over data with a supplementary cloud, so that when the data is exchanged between the clouds, the problem of confidentiality revelation exists. So the privacy revelation problem concerning a person or a corporation is unavoidably open when releasing or data distributing in the cloud service. Confidentiality is a significant issue in any cloud computing environment. In this paper we propose and implement a mechanism to maintain privacy and secure data storage for group members or a community in cloud environment.
