Through the methods of literature review, expert interview and field investigation, this paper analyzes the effective teaching and promotion strategies of basketball general course for physical education major in Colleges and universities in China. It is believed that the main problems in the effective teaching of basketball general course of physical education major in China are cognitive bias in effective teaching, ignoring the effectiveness of teaching process, and dissimilation of effective teaching orientation In the problem, this paper puts forward the specific strategies to improve the effective teaching of general basketball course of physical education major in Colleges and universities, that is to correctly understand the effective teaching, pay attention to the effective teaching process, and establish the effective teaching goal orientation, so as to provide enlightenment for peer researchers to explore effective teaching together, and provide reference for peer workers to better understand effective teaching and improve effective teaching efficiency.

The use of literature, survey interviews, comparative and other research methods, a comprehensive analysis of Physical Education undergraduate technical courses setting conditions, the results show that the technical courses in physical education majors in an important position, but In recent years Technical Course hours are on a downward trend; enhance the Physical Education Major of course construction, need to focus on technical elective and required courses in a reasonable setting, to strengthen technical subjects main course construction, attention to developing basic technical skills and enhance the technical courses of teachers. This article aims to further deepen the new era of Undergraduate Physical Education Major of reference for curriculum reform.

The Opinion, Attitude, and Interest Survey was administered to professional women students in physical education at two colleges. The following comparisons were made: (1) the physical education major and the average college freshman, (2) the physical education majors at the two colleges, and (3) those students in the professional program who remained in the program beyond the first year and those who left the program before the second year. Significant differences were noted.
