This paper investigates the control and synchronization of a rotational relativistic chaotic system with parameter uncertainties and external disturbance. By using the proper coordinate transformation, some novel criteria for control or synchronization are proposed via a single input. Numerical simulations are given to show the robustness and efficiency of the proposed approach.

The memristor is a novel nonlinear passive circuit element which has the memory function, and the circuits based on the memristors might exhibit chaotic behavior. In this paper, we revisit a memristor-based chaotic circuit, and then investigate its stabilization and synchronization via impulsive control. By impulsive system theory, some sufficient conditions for the stabilization and synchronization of the memristor-based chaotic system are established. Moreover, an estimation of the upper bound of the impulse interval is proposed under the condition that the parameters of the chaotic system and the impulsive control law are well defined. To show the effectiveness of the theoretical results, numerical simulations are also presented.

It is of vital importance to exactly estimate the unknown parameters of chaotic systems in chaos control and synchronization. In this paper, we present a method for estimating one-dimensional discrete chaotic system based on mean value method (MVM). It is proposed by exploiting the ergodic and synchronization features of chaos. It can effectively estimate the parameter value, and it is more exact than MVM. Finally, numerical simulations on Chebyshev map and Tent map show that the proposed method has better performance of parameter estimation than MVM.
