This study focus on derivation of such vulnerability curves using Fiber Reinforced Polymers technologies retrofitted conventional RC industrial frames with masonry infill wall. A set of stochastic earthquake waves which compatible with the response spectrum of China seismic code are created. Dynamic time history analysis is used to compute the random sample of structures. Stochastic damage scatter diagrams based different seismic intensity index are obtained. Seismic vulnerability of FRP-reinforced RC industrial frames is lower than unreinforced frames obviously, and seismic capability of frames using FRP technologies is enhanced especially under major earthquake.

This study focus on derivation of such fragility curves using classic mid-story isolation and reduction structures (MIRS) in China metropolis. This study focus on derivation of such fragility curves using conventional industrial frames with masonry infill wall. A set of stochastic earthquake waves compatible with the response spectrum of China seismic code selected to represent the variability in ground motion. Dynamic inelastic time history analysis was used to analyze the random sample of structures. MIRS seismic capability of longitudinal and transversal orientation is different. Stochastic damage scatter diagrams based different seismic intensity index are obtained. Seismic fragility of longitudinal axis (Y axis) is larger than transversal axis (X axis) of frames under major earthquake obviously.

Ovarian maturation by neurosecretory cells in the brain of freshwater crab, Barytelphusa cunicularis have been examined. The histological scrutiny of the brain of Barytelphusa cunicularis related with three types (A, B and C) of neurosecretory cells, which are classified on the basis of size, shape and tinctorial characters. All these types of cells marked annual cyclic changes of cytoplasmic material in association with ovarian cycle. The activity of these cells has been correlated with the ovarian cycle. They are distinguishable by their size, nature locations, shape, nucleus position, cell measure and the secretory product in the cytoplasm. The result indicates that the neurosecretory A, B and C cells of the brain seen involved in the process of mating ovulation. The neurosecretory materials staining intensity index of these cells is described.

Immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a systemic disorder characterized by tissue fibrosis and intense lymphoplasmacytic infiltration, causing progressive organ dysfunction. Activation-induced cytidine deaminase (AID), a deaminase normally expressed in activated B-cells in germinal centers, edits ribonucleotides to induce somatic hypermutation and class switching of immunoglobulin. While AID expression is strictly controlled under physiological conditions, chronic inflammation has been noted to induce its upregulation to propel oncogenesis. We examined AID expression in IgG4-related ophthalmic disease (IgG4-ROD; n = 16), marginal zone lymphoma with IgG4-positive cells (IgG4+ MZL; n = 11), and marginal zone lymphoma without IgG4-positive cells (IgG4- MZL; n = 12) of ocular adnexa using immunohistochemical staining. Immunohistochemistry revealed significantly higher AID-intensity index in IgG4-ROD and IgG4+ MZL than IgG4- MZL (p < 0.001 and = 0.001, respectively). The present results suggest that IgG4-RD has several specific causes of AID up-regulation in addition to inflammation, and AID may be a driver of oncogenesis in IgG4-ROD to IgG4+ MZL.

Abstract Background MRI provides several distinct quantitative parameters that may better differentiate renal cell carcinoma (RCC) subtypes. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), chemical shift signal intensity index (SII), and contrast enhancement in differentiation between different subtypes of renal cell carcinoma. Results There were 63 RCC as regard surgical histopathological analysis: 43 clear cell (ccRCC), 12 papillary (pRCC), and 8 chromophobe (cbRCC). The mean ADC ratio for ccRCC (0.75 ± 0.13) was significantly higher than that of pRCC (0.46 ± 0.12, P < 0.001) and cbRCC (0.41 ± 0.15, P < 0.001). The mean ADC value for ccRCC (1.56 ± 0.27 × 10−3 mm2/s) was significantly higher than that of pRCC (0.96 ± 0.25 × 10−3 mm2/s, P < 0.001) and cbRCC (0.89 ± 0.29 × 10−3 mm2/s, P < 0.001). The mean SII of pRCC (1.49 ± 0.04) was significantly higher than that of ccRCC (0.93 ± 0.01, P < 0.001) and cbRCC (1.01 ± 0.16, P < 0.001). The ccRCC absolute corticomedullary enhancement (196.7 ± 81.6) was significantly greater than that of cbRCC (177.8 ± 77.7, P < 0.001) and pRCC (164.3 ± 84.6, P < 0.001). Conclusion Our study demonstrated that multiparametric MRI is able to afford some quantitative features such as ADC ratio, SII, and absolute corticomedullary enhancement which can be used to accurately distinguish different subtypes of renal cell carcinoma.
