It was successfully decided that the ΛΛ interaction was weakly attractive, by the E373 (KEK-PS) experiment with hybrid-emulsion method, recently. To get systematic understanding for double strangeness system, the experiment E964 has been approved at BNL-AGS. The experiment should provide us one hundred samples of light and heavy double-hypernuclei and information for the existence of the H dibaryon resonance. We will also get the first data of X-ray from Ξ--atom which shall give us information of Ξ--nuclear potential.

The aim of this work is the synthesis of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) nano and microparticles and their application as biomaterials (vehicles) for the sustained release of doxycycline. CaCO3 micro particles were synthesized by water-in oil (W/O) emulsion method using emulsion liquid membranes with bis (2-ethylhexyl) phosphate (D2EHPA) as carrier, Span 80 as surfactant, and toluene and kerosene as organic solvents. The aqueous phases contained 1 M CaCl2, and 1 M Na2CO3, respectively. The Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) data showed CaCO3 particles with sizes ranging from around 100 nm to 3500 nm. The CaCO3 particles with the average diameters around 600 nm attained an adsorbtion of doxycycline of maximum 97.9%, and a slow and steady release with a cumulative value of approximative 50% after ten days.

A multilayer TiO2 film featured with gradual scattering structure was developed and used as photoelectrode for dye-sensitized solar cells. This structure of film consists of P25 nanoparticles and TiO2 aggregate which was synthesized by micro-emulsion method as scattering centers The scattering centers were deposited by gradually increasing the amount from the film’s bottom to its top. The special films were used for the studies on the photovoltaic performance of N719 and Zn-3, and their photoelectric conversion efficiencies were 7.34% and 4.04%, respectively. Furthermore, more improvement of the conversion efficiency is realized for Zn-3 than for N719 by using our newly developed multilayer films as photoelectrode compared with ordinary photoelectrode.
