Pudendal nerve schwannomas are very rare, with only two cases reported in the English-language literature. The surgical approaches described in these two case reports are the transgluteal approach and the laparoscopic approach. The authors present the case of a patient with progressive pelvic pain radiating ipsilaterally into her groin, vagina, and rectum, who was subsequently found to have a pudendal schwannoma. The authors used a transischiorectal fossa approach and intraoperative electrophysiological monitoring and successfully excised the tumor. This approach has the advantage of direct access to Alcock's canal with minimal disruption of the pelvic muscles and ligaments. The patient experienced complete relief of her pelvic pain after the procedure.

Biofeedback is recommended as the first line of treatment for patients with stress or urge urinary incontinence (Fantl et al., 1996). Research supports the use of biofeedback for bowel dysfunction (Bartlett, Sloots, Nowak, & Ho, 2011). There is mounting evidence for the use of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for the use of bladder and bowel dysfunction and pelvic pain (Fox, Flynn, & Allen, 2011; Paiva & Carneiro, 2013). The following case reports demonstrate the utility of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction in helping patients who suffer from bowel, bladder, and pelvic pain syndromes. Mindfulness training can be used to bring attention to how emotions and food choices have a direct impact on the gastrointestinal tract. Present moment awareness of the urinary tract functioning also improves bladder function. Noticing tension in the pelvic floor muscles helps to improve pelvic pain symptoms (Anderson, Wise, Sawyer, Glove, & Orenberg, 2011; Fox et al., 2011; Paiva & Carneiro, 2011).

Total abdominal hysterectomy is a quite common open surgical operation accounting for 54% of all benign diseases. Indications are uterine fibroids, adenomyosis/endometriosis, AUB, chronic pelvic pain, cancer of ovaries, uterus or cervix or cancer phobia. It is relatively an uncomplicated operation and easiest when least required.

Pelvic pain and coccydynia are discomfort and disabling symptoms for many patients. Assessment and treatment are individualized. Among several options available, the sacrococcygeal ganglion or impar (known as ganglion of Walther), a sensitive station of the pelvis, is one of the main therapeutic targets. Although knowledge about the nature and extent of the innervation pattern of this ganglion in the pelvic region has not been completely elucidated, neuromodulation techniques have been described as efficient treatment options for pelvic pain and coccydynia arising from acute and chronic conditions such as endometriosis, trauma, postsurgical interventions and also from idiopathic factors. The main techniques include chemical rhizotomy with steroids and anesthetics injections or radiofrequency (thermocoagulation). In this review, we report three cases, two with endometriosis and pelvic procedures and one with coccydynia from fracture, who underwent ganglion impar injection. At 6 months follow up, the VAS (Visual Analogue Scale) improvement achieved varied from 70-90%, demonstrating to be a safe, less invasive and efficient technique.

Three case reports of patients with chronic pelvic pain caused rare pathology described in this article. Diagnostic algorithm, results of examination, laparoscopic findings were shown. These case reports may be interesting for gynecologists, pathologists, anesthesiologists.
