The purpose of the study was to analyze the materials of temporary disability due to illness or injury of employees engaged in various types of activities. The data is presented for two years (2018-2019). One group - employees of offices, the second group-employees of working specialties. In each group of employees, temporary disability sheets received in connection with an injury or illness for two years (2018-2019) were analyzed. A number of relative indicators that do not depend on the number of employees of these organizations are determined: the multiplicity of disability (the number of cases of disability per 1 employee with disability); the duration of disability (the number of days of disability per 1 case of disability). It is shown that the share of sick leaves for diseases and domestic injuries among employees of the office and industrial organization differs in the age groups: 20-29 years and 30-39 years: making up, respectively: 10.1% and 83.7%; 60.6% and 77.7%. The multiplicity of domestic injuries in employees of a production organization is 1.4 times higher than the corresponding indicator of office employees, equal to 1.0, and the average duration of each case of domestic injuries in employees of a production organization is shorter than in office employees by 2.3-2.6 times. The average duration of each case of the disease is longer in office employees than in employees of a production organization: 9.9 days and 6.3 days on average per year, respectively.

This paper defends the viability of de-idealization strategies in economic modeling against recent criticism. De-idealization occurs when an idealized assumption of a theoretical model is replaced with a more realistic one. Recently, some scholars have raised objections against the possibility or fruitfulness of de-idealizing economic models, suggesting that economists do not employ this kind of strategy. We present a detailed case study from the theory of industrial organization, discussing three different models, two of which can be construed as de-idealized versions of the first (the so-called Bertrand model of oligopoly). We conclude that recent pessimism about de-idealization in economics is largely unfounded, and that de-idealization strategies are not only possible but also widely employed in economics.

The network retail industry has been in a highly centralized pattern. According to the relevant concepts in the traditional industrial organization theory, this highly concentrated market needs regulation. Behind the rapid development of industry is the hidden worry that is constantly exposed. In 2011, Taobao announced a substantial increase in annual fees and software service fees, which caused conflicts with small and medium sellers. In the price war in Jingdong, it may have been sold at a price lower than the cost. The traditional industrial organization theory usually thinks that the monopoly market structure is not good. Because of its pricing model based on its own marginal cost and marginal income, it will cause welfare losses to consumers, resulting in low market efficiency and unnecessary losses. This paper first expounds the basic connotation and judgment criteria of monopoly, analyzes the monopoly and characteristics of online retail industry in the "Internet +" era, and finally puts forward some governance strategies for the monopoly problems existing in the current online retail industry.

Around the world, competition agencies and academics alike have raised concerns that the existing suite of policy tools and economic theory fail to capture all of the harms that can arise in digital markets. At the same time, other academics and practitioners consider that competition policy and industrial organization is unable to account for many of the benefits that online platforms and digital ecosystems can bring. As a range of new interventions – ranging from strengthened ex-post enforcement tools to new ex-ante regulations – are being proposed, we ask which view is right? Are the business practices observed in digital markets and targeted by these reforms so obviously harmful that they are deserving of a return to form-based prohibitions in place of effects-based analysis? Or does this represent an unhelpful regression, based on a misunderstanding of how these new types of markets function?
