Surface doping of Fe in the hexagonal Cu3P composite does not alter the lattice parameters, but promotes the surface metallicity by stimulating lower oxidation state Cu species, resulting an increasing bifunctional water splitting activity.

Two lower-oxidation state uranium cations can be readily combined and controlled in a robust and derivatisable tetra-aryloxide ligand framework. These di-UIII/IV systems are a new platform at which to use the multi-electron reductive capacity of the two actinide centres.

A series of gallium complexes with different oxidation states of ligand and metal were obtained, both monoanionic and dianionic ligands can be further reduced, where reduction of the radical monoanionic α-diimine ligand into dianion or of Ga (+3) into the lower oxidation state Ga (+2) or Ga (+1.5) takes place.

Nanostructured platinum in ordered mesoporous silica SBA-15 and KIT-6 were synthesized. Pt particles with lower oxidation state were more homogeneously dispersed within the pores of KIT-6, making it an efficient catalyst for propane total oxidation.

SummaryThe radionuclideIt was found that it is very difficult to create the same conditions present in the deep repository in the laboratory, which is why the reduction of the pertechnetate anion to its lower oxidation state (Tc(IV)) was not achieved. The retention of the pertechnate anion on bentonite is very low (
