We prove the existence, uniqueness, and strict positivity of ground states of the possibly massless renormalized Nelson operator under an infrared regularity condition and for Kato decomposable electrostatic potentials fulfilling a binding condition. If the infrared regularity condition is violated, then we show non-existence of ground states of the massless renormalized Nelson operator with an arbitrary Kato decomposable potential. Furthermore, we prove the existence, uniqueness, and strict positivity of ground states of the massless renormalized Nelson operator in a non-Fock representation where the infrared condition is unnecessary. Exponential and superexponential estimates on the pointwise spatial decay and the decay with respect to the boson number for elements of spectral subspaces below localization thresholds are provided. Moreover, some continuity properties of ground state eigenvectors are discussed. Byproducts of our analysis are a hypercontractivity bound for the semigroup and a new remark on Nelson’s operator theoretic renormalization procedure. Finally, we construct path measures associated with ground states of the renormalized Nelson operator. Their analysis entails improved boson number decay estimates for ground state eigenvectors, as well as upper and lower bounds on the Gaussian localization with respect to the field variables in the ground state. As our results on uniqueness, positivity, and path measures exploit the ergodicity of the semigroup, we restrict our attention to one matter particle. All results are non-perturbative.

Abstract We derive a generalized Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation for the correlation function of the intertwiners of the vector and the MacMahon representations of Ding-Iohara-Miki algebra. These intertwiners are cousins of the refined topological vertex which is regarded as the intertwining operator of the Fock representation. The shift of the spectral parameter of the intertwiners is generated by the operator which is constructed from the universal R matrix. The solutions to the generalized KZ equation are factorized into the ratio of two point functions which are identified with generalizations of the Nekrasov factor for supersymmetric quiver gauge theories.

The one-variable [Formula: see text]-coherent states attached to the [Formula: see text]-disc algebra are constructed and used to obtain the [Formula: see text]-Bargmann–Fock realization of its Fock representation. Then, this realization is used to obtain the [Formula: see text]-continuous Hermite polynomials as well as continuous and discrete [Formula: see text]-Hermite polynomials by using a pair of Hermitian canonical conjugate operators and two pairs of the non-Hermitian conjugate operators, respectively. Besides, we introduce a two-variable family of [Formula: see text]-coherent states attached to the Fock representation space of the [Formula: see text]-disc algebra and its opposite algebra and obtain their simultaneous [Formula: see text]-Bargmann–Fock realization. For an appropriate non-Hermitian operator, the latter realization is served to obtain the well-known little [Formula: see text]-Jacobi polynomials used in constructing the [Formula: see text]-disc polynomials.

In a recent proposal we applied methods from constructive QFT to derive a Hamiltonian Renormalization Group in order to employ it ultimately for canonical quantum gravity. The proposal was successfully tested for free scalar fields and thus a natural next step is to test it for free gauge theories. This can be done in the framework of reduced phase space quantization which allows using techniques developed earlier for scalar field theories. In addition, in canonical quantum gravity one works in representations that support holonomy operators which are ill defined in the Fock representation of say Maxwell or Proca theory. Thus, we consider toy models that have both features, i.e. which employ Fock representations in which holonomy operators are well-defined. We adapt the coarse graining maps considered for scalar fields to those theories for free vector bosons. It turns out that the corresponding fixed pointed theories can be found analytically.

We introduce a concept of singular Bogoliubov transformation on the abstract boson Fock space and construct a representation of canonical commutation relations (CCRs) which is inequivalent to any direct sum of the Fock representation. Sufficient conditions for the representation to be irreducible are formulated. Moreover, an example of such representations of CCRs is given.
