A topological index is a numeric quantity related with the chemical composition claiming to correlate the chemical structure with different chemical properties. Topological indices serve to predict physicochemical properties of chemical substance. Among different topological indices, degree-based topological indices would be helpful in investigating the anti-inflammatory activities of certain chemical networks. In the current study, we determine the neighborhood second Zagreb index and the first extended first-order connectivity index for oxide network O X n , silicate network S L n , chain silicate network C S n , and hexagonal network H X n . Also, we determine the neighborhood second Zagreb index and the first extended first-order connectivity index for honeycomb network H C n .

Topological indices (TIs) are expressed by constant real numbers that reveal the structure of the graphs in QSAR/QSPR investigation. The reformulated second Zagreb index (RSZI) is such a novel TI having good correlations with various physical attributes, chemical reactivities, or biological activities/properties. The RSZI is defined as the sum of products of edge degrees of the adjacent edges, where the edge degree of an edge is taken to be the sum of vertex degrees of two end vertices of that edge with minus 2. In this study, the behaviour of RSZI under graph operations containing Cartesian product, join, composition, and corona product of two graphs has been established. We have also applied these results to compute RSZI for some important classes of molecular graphs and nanostructures.

In this paper, we have taken review of certain topological topological characteristics of subdivision and the line graph of subdivision of Kragujevac tree. A Kragujevac tree is denoted by K , K ∈ Kg q = r 2 t + 1 + 1 , r , with order r 2 t + 1 + 1 and size r 2 t + 1 , respectively. We have computed the Zagreb polynomials, forgotten polynomial, and M-polynomial for Kragujevac tree. Moreover, we have computed topological indices like Zagreb-type indices, reduced reciprocal Randić indices, family of Gourava indices as well as forgotten index. Further, some topological indices that can be directly derived from M-polynomial, i.e., first and second Zagreb index, modified second Zagreb index, Randić and reciprocal Randić index, symmetric division and harmonic index, and inverse sum and augmented Zagreb index are also computed.

Abstract Random structure plays an important role in the composition of compounds, and topological index is an important index to measure indirectly the properties of compounds. The Zagreb indices and its revised versions (or redefined versions) are frequently used chemical topological indices, which provide the theoretical basis for the determination of various physical-chemical properties of compounds. This article uses the tricks of probability theory to determine the reduced second Zagreb index and hyper-Zagreb index of two kinds of vital random graphs: G(n, p) and G(n, m).

Let [Formula: see text] be a graph with vertex set [Formula: see text] and edge set [Formula: see text]. The general reduced second Zagreb index of [Formula: see text] is defined as [Formula: see text], where [Formula: see text] is any real number and [Formula: see text] is the degree of the vertex [Formula: see text] of [Formula: see text]. In this paper, the general reduced second Zagreb index of the Cartesian product, corona product, join of graphs and two new operations of graphs are computed.

In this paper, some basic mathematical operation for the second Zagreb indices of graph containing the join and strong product of graph operation, and the rst and second Zagreb indices of complement graph operations such as cartesian product G1 G2, composition G1 G2, disjunction G1 _ G2, symmetric dierence G1 G2, join G1 + G2, tensor product G1  G2, and strong product G1 G2 will be explained. The results are applied to molecular graph of nanotorus and titania nanotubes.
