Propionibacterium acnes (Cutibacterium acnes) is an anaerobic, gram-positive, slow growing bacteria. It can produce various virulence factors like bioactive exocellular products and metabolites. P.acnes blood isolates were considered signicant if two or more separate blood culture sets were positive on the same day and if systemic inammatory response syndrome (SIRS) was present without any alternate explanation. C.acnes if found in the blood of patients with implantable cardiac devices it should be considered as more than just a skin contaminant. These patients should be treated with appropriate therapies to prevent annihilatory consequences.

Here we propose a modification of the gravitational field on large scales as an alternate explanation for the discrepancy in the value of the Hubble constant as implied by Planck observations of the CMBR in the early Universe and that deduced from other distance indicators in the present epoch.

This case presents a 16-year-old female with complaints of headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting who is brought to the emergency department by her parents. The emergency physician is struck by a petechial rash on the patient’s face, which triggers a vivid memory of a similar rash in a patient with meningococcemia that proved fatal. A lumbar puncture is quickly done, and antibiotics are initiated. The patient is subsequently transferred to another physician, who finds an alternate explanation for the patient’s symptoms and refers her to surgery.

Chapter 2 (“Spinoza’s ‘Ontological’ Argument”) offers on Spinoza’s behalf (1) an argument against the existence of substances other than God (that is, substances of fewer-than-all attributes); and (2) an explanation of why no such substances exist. In his important 2002 article “Spinoza’s Substance Monism,” Michael Della Rocca offers on Spinoza’s behalf an alternate argument and an alternate explanation, both of which he claims better serve Spinoza’s purposes and better capture Spinoza’s intentions than those provided in chapter 2. After proposing three terminological clarifications (concerning “necessary existence” and “a priori”) and two substantive amendments to the argument of the chapter, this postscript rebuts those claims.
