The developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEE) are the most severe group of epilepsies. Recently, NEXMIF mutations have been shown to cause a DEE in females, characterized by myoclonic–atonic epilepsy and recurrent nonconvulsive status. Here we used advanced neuroimaging techniques in a patient with a novel NEXMIF de novo mutation presenting with recurrent absence status with eyelid myoclonia, to reveal brain structural and functional changes that can bring the clinical phenotype to alteration within specific brain networks. Indeed, the alterations found in the patient involved the visual pericalcarine cortex and the middle frontal gyrus, regions that have been demonstrated to be a core feature in epilepsy phenotypes with visual sensitivity and eyelid myoclonia with absences.

(1) Background and objectives: The purpose of this work is to determine the association of fear-avoidance attitudes with sickness absence status, its duration and disability in a work accident context. (2) Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive observational design, conducting the study in two occupational insurance provider clinics with patients with nonspecific low back and neck pain during the study period. Clinical variables were the Fear Avoidance Questionnaire, Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire, Neck Disability Index, Numerical Pain Scale; sociodemographic variables were sex, age, occupational, educational level, sickness absence status, and duration in days of absence from work. Multiple logistic and linear regressions were used to explore the association between variables. (3) Results: Fear-avoidance behavior is related to sickness absence status (OR = 1.048, p = 0.007), and the physical activity dimension (OR = 1.098, p = 0.013) is more relevant than the work dimension (OR = 1.056, p = 0.028). The duration of sickness absence is related to higher values on the fear-avoidance behavior scale in its global dimension (b = 0.84, p = 0.003, r = 0.327), and the results of the physical activity dimension (B = 1.37, p = 0.035, r = 0.236) were more relevant than the work dimension (B = 1.21, p = 0.003, r = 0.324). Fear-avoidance behavior is related to disability in both dimensions (B = 0.912, p ˂ 0.001, r = 0.505). (4) Conclusions: Fear-avoidance behaviors may influence the typification of sickness absence status, its duration both in its physical activity and work dimension, and its disability reported with higher values than in other healthcare contexts.

Nonconvulsive epileptic seizures are major type of seizures of all patients with predominantly focal epilepsy. However, this problem is still insufficiently studied, the literature presents a few data on the diagnosis and treatment of nonconvulsive status epilepticus (NCSE). NCSE is a prolonged seizure, not accompanied by severe motor presentation. Such attacks occur much more often than previously thought. NCSE is divided into focal NCSE (complex partial status epilepticus), and generalized NCSE, often referred as absence status. The absence status divides into a typical absence status (presents with suppression of consciousness of various depths, myoclonic twitching of the eyelids, impoverishment of speech production and hallucinations), atypical absence status (presents with retardation of mental processes and eyelid myoclonus) and late absence status (long-term disorientation accompanied by cognitive deficiency and presents mainly in elderly patients). According to the available sources, more than 30% of patients in the intensive care units with impaired consciousness of unclear genesis are patients with NCSE. Use of antiepileptic drugs for intravenous administration opens better opportunities in the treatment of patients with status epilepticus and NCSE.

The attendance list in AMIK Ibrahimy still applies manual way. The problems faced in this case are students sometimes do not find the attendance list paper since it is gone and there sometimes appears deceitfulness since the students can easily change their absence status to presence. The researcher wants to make web-based attendance list to enable the staffs and the lecturers in identifying the students’ presence in the attendance list, recapitulating the monthly attendance as well as identifying which students are present or absent during the lecture. To solve the problems, it is then made web-based attendance list of AMIK Ibrahimy students that can enable the staffs and the lecturers in processing the attendance list, recapitulating the attendance list in order to avoid any deceitfulness of students. The researcher intentionally uses web that can be accessed through laptop or computer for processing the attendance list. The attendance list application that is designed aims at helping the AMIK Ibrahimy students attendance list that is web-based. Through this web-based attendance list, it is expected that it can be more accurate, faster, and easier in processing the information even with the huge number of students.
