In this note, we show that for a closed almost-Kähler manifold [Formula: see text] with the almost complex structure [Formula: see text] satisfies [Formula: see text] the space of de Rham harmonic forms is contained in the space of symplectic-Bott–Chern harmonic forms. In particular, suppose that [Formula: see text] is four-dimensional, if the self-dual Betti number [Formula: see text], then we prove that the second non-HLC degree measures the gap between the de Rham and the symplectic-Bott–Chern harmonic forms.

The aim of this paper is to continue the study of Kodaira dimension for almost complex manifolds, focusing on the case of compact [Formula: see text]-dimensional solvmanifolds without any integrable almost complex structure. According to the classification theory we consider: [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] with [Formula: see text]. For the first solvmanifold we introduce special families of almost complex structures, compute the corresponding Kodaira dimension and show that it is no longer a deformation invariant. Moreover, we prove Ricci flatness of the canonical connection for the almost Kähler structure. Regarding the other two manifolds we compute the Kodaira dimension for certain almost complex structures. Finally, we construct a natural hypercomplex structure providing a twistorial description.

In this paper, we study almost coKähler manifolds admitting [Formula: see text]-almost Yamabe solitons [Formula: see text]. First, we obtain a classification of almost coKähler [Formula: see text]-manifolds admitting nontrivial closed [Formula: see text]-almost Yamabe solitons. Next, we consider an almost [Formula: see text]-coKähler manifold admitting a nontrivial [Formula: see text]-almost Yamabe soliton and prove that it is locally the Riemannian product of an almost Kähler manifold with the real line if the potential vector field [Formula: see text] is collinear with the Reeb vector field. For the potential vector field [Formula: see text] being orthogonal to the Reeb vector field, we also obtain two results.

We investigate a class of locally conformal almost Kähler structures and prove that, under some conditions, this class is a subclass of almost Kähler structures. We show that a locally conformal almost Kähler manifold admits a canonical foliation whose leaves are hypersurfaces with the mean curvature vector field proportional to the Lee vector field. The geodesibility of the leaves is also characterized, and their minimality coincides with the incompressibility of the Lee vector field along the leaves.

AbstractIn this paper we study an analog of minimal surfaces called Weyl-minimal surfaces in conformal manifolds with a Weyl connection (M4, c, D). We show that there is an Eells-Salamon type correspondence between nonvertical 𝒥-holomorphic curves in the weightless twistor space and branched Weyl-minimal surfaces. When (M, c, J) is conformally almost-Hermitian, there is a canonical Weyl connection. We show that for the canonical Weyl connection, branched Weyl-minimal surfaces satisfy the adjunction inequality\chi \left( {{T_f}\sum } \right) + \chi \left( {{N_f}\sum } \right) \le \pm {c_1}\left( {f*{T^{\left( {1,0} \right)}}M} \right).The ±J-holomorphic curves are automatically Weyl-minimal and satisfy the corresponding equality. These results generalize results of Eells-Salamon and Webster for minimal surfaces in Kähler 4-manifolds as well as their extension to almost-Kähler 4-manifolds by Chen-Tian, Ville, and Ma.
