Abstract
Let M be a trans-paraSasakian 3-manifold. In this paper, the necessary and sufficient condition for the Reeb vector field of a trans-paraSasakian 3-manifold to be harmonic is obtained. Also, it is proved that the Ricci operator of M is invariant along the Reeb flow if and only if M is a paracosymplectic manifold, an α-paraSasakian manifold or a space of negative constant sectional curvature.
AbstractWe study spaces and moduli spaces of Riemannian metrics with non-negative Ricci or non-negative sectional curvature on closed and open manifolds. We construct, in particular, the first classes of manifolds for which these moduli spaces have non-trivial rational homotopy, homology and cohomology groups. We also show that in every dimension at least seven (respectively, at least eight) there exist infinite sequences of closed (respectively, open) manifolds of pairwise distinct homotopy type for which the space and moduli space of Riemannian metrics with non-negative sectional curvature has infinitely many path components. A completely analogous statement holds for spaces and moduli spaces of non-negative Ricci curvature metrics.
It is known that there does not exist any Hopf hypersurface in complex Grassmannians of rank two of complex dimension 2m with constant sectional curvature for m≥3. The purpose of this article is to extend the above result, and without the Hopf condition, we prove that there does not exist any locally conformally flat real hypersurface for m≥3.
In this paper, we establish an injectivity theorem on a weakly pseudoconvex Kähler manifold X with negative sectional curvature. For this purpose, we develop the harmonic theory in this circumstance. The negative sectional curvature condition is usually satisfied by the manifolds with hyperbolicity, such as symmetric spaces, bounded symmetric domains in Cn, hyperconvex bounded domains, and so on.
