Introduction: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) share overlapping symptomatology, particularly with regard to social impairments (including peer relationship difficulties), and they frequently co-occur. However, the nature of their co-occurrence remains unclear. Therefore, the current study aimed to examine the nature of the transdiagnostic link between ASD and ADHD from a symptomatological point of view measured with the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS Module 3) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R). Methods: We analyzed the social and nonsocial ASD symptom domain scores from both diagnostic instruments in 4 clinically referred groups (i.e., ASD, ADHD, ASD + ADHD, and no psychiatric diagnosis) without other co-occurring mental disorders using a two-by-two full-factorial MANOVA design with the factors ASD (yes/no) and ADHD (yes/no). Results: We found no ASD by ADHD interaction effects across all symptom domain scores of ADOS and ADI-R, except for ADOS imagination/creativity. There were only main effects of the factor ASD but no main effects of ADHD. Follow-up contrasts showed that exclusively, ASD had an impact on the measured symptomatology in case of co-occurring ASD + ADHD. Conclusion: Overall, the results support an additive model of the symptomatology across areas of communication, social interaction, and stereotyped behaviors and restricted interests in case of the co-occurrence of ASD and ADHD when assessed with ADOS/ADI-R. Thus, one can assume that the phenotypic overlap of ASD + ADHD may be less complicated than suspected – at least with regard to ASD symptomatology – and that in the presence of ADHD, ASD symptomatology is generally well measurable with best-practice diagnostic instruments.

The electrocardiogram (ECG) is one of the most widely used diagnostic instruments in medicine and healthcare. Deep learning methods have shown promise in healthcare prediction challenges involving ECG data. This paper aims to apply deep learning techniques on the publicly available dataset to classify arrhythmia. We have used two kinds of the dataset in our research paper. One dataset is the MIT-BIH arrhythmia database, with a sampling frequency of 125 Hz with 1,09,446 ECG beats. The classes included in this first dataset are N, S, V, F, and Q. The second database is PTB Diagnostic ECG Database. The second database has two classes. The techniques used in these two datasets are the CNN model, CNN + LSTM, and CNN + LSTM + Attention Model. 80% of the data is used for the training, and the remaining 20% is used for testing. The result achieved by using these three techniques shows the accuracy of 99.12% for the CNN model, 99.3% for CNN + LSTM, and 99.29% for CNN + LSTM + Attention Model.

There is ongoing debate as to whether autism spectrum disorder (ASD) differentially affects males and females. Several meta-analyses have found little difference between males and females with ASD in terms of social communication and interaction skills. However, such analyses have often relied on diagnostic instruments such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition 2 that may not be sensitive to how autism presents in females. What’s more, many have been based on global scores, that reflect overall social communication and interaction skills, which could miss subtler differences in specific domains.

Introduction. Intense activity of commercial organizations in the conditions of constant social changes, competition, and social tension, which were caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, necessitates the development of leadership qualities and skills in the staff of commercial organizations.Aim. To determine a set of instruments to assess commercial organization staffʼs leadership qualities.Results. The set of diagnostic instruments proposed by the author to study commercial organization staff's leadership qualities aims to assess staff's basic leadership qualities, which relate to staffʼs abillity to manage and administer the commercial organization, and the staff's special leadership qualities, whichinclude staffʼs abilities to directly lead in commercial organizations and are made up of staffʼs innovative-creative, partnership, emotion-regulating, and gender-relevant abilities.Conclusions. The set of diagnostic instruments presented in the article and designed to study commercial organization staffʼs leadership qualities can be helpful for organizational psychologists to counsel commercial organizations on the problem of staff's leadership development.

The “autism spectrum disorder” (ASD) construct and its current diagnostic criteria have led to the inclusion of increasingly heterogeneous and decreasingly atypical individuals under its definition. This broad category, based on the polymorphic clinical expression of common genetic variants underpinning the risk of autism, is likely beneficial for certain individuals. However, determining the boundaries between ASD and typical individuals, as well as those with other neurodevelopmental conditions, remains an issue of which the importance is growing with the increase in ASD prevalence. We identified four clinical contexts associated with a questionable, poorly justified, or unhelpful ASD diagnosis: (1) those in which diagnostic instruments raise uncertainties, (2) in the context of a subclinical presentation, (3) when early autistic signs tend to fade away during development, and (4) when comorbidities are prominent. We argue that in certain cases, a diagnosis of ASD may not be the most suitable, timely, or helpful medical act and provide recommendations for clinical practice when facing such situations.

AbstractDisruptive mood dysregulation disorder (DMDD) involves non-episodic irritability and frequent severe temper outbursts in children. Since the inclusion of the diagnosis in the DSM-5, there is no established gold-standard in the assessment of DMDD. In this systematic review of the literature, we provide a synopsis of existing diagnostic instruments for DMDD. Bibliographic databases were searched for any studies assessing DMDD. The systematic search of the literature yielded K = 1167 hits, of which n = 110 studies were included. The most frequently used measure was the Kiddie Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia DMDD module (25%). Other studies derived diagnostic criteria from interviews not specifically designed to measure DMDD (47%), chart review (7%), clinical diagnosis without any specific instrument (6%) or did not provide information about the assessment (9%). Three structured interviews designed to diagnose DMDD were used in six studies (6%). Interrater reliability was reported in 36% of studies (ranging from κ = 0.6–1) while other psychometric properties were rarely reported. This systematic review points to a variety of existing diagnostic measures for DMDD with good reliability. Consistent reporting of psychometric properties of recently developed DMDD interviews, as well as their further refinement, may help to ascertain the validity of the diagnosis.
