Abstract We study the action of a real reductive group G on a real submanifold X of a Kähler manifold Z. We suppose that the action of a compact connected Lie group U with Lie algebra $\mathfrak {u}$ extends holomorphically to an action of the complexified group $U^{\mathbb {C}}$ and that the U-action on Z is Hamiltonian. If $G\subset U^{\mathbb {C}}$ is compatible, there exists a gradient map $\mu _{\mathfrak p}:X \longrightarrow \mathfrak p$ where $\mathfrak g=\mathfrak k \oplus \mathfrak p$ is a Cartan decomposition of $\mathfrak g$ . In this paper, we describe compact orbits of parabolic subgroups of G in terms of the gradient map $\mu _{\mathfrak p}$ .

In this paper, we discuss about almost complex structures and complex structures on Riemannian manifolds, symplectic manifolds and contact manifolds. We have also shown a special comparison between complex symplectic geometry and complex contact geometry. Also, the existence of a complex submanifold of n-dimensional complex manifold which intersects a real submanifold GANIT J. Bangladesh Math. Soc.Vol. 39 (2019) 119-126

Many differential geometric properties of submanifolds of a Kaehler manifold are looked into via canonical structure tensors P and F on the submanifold. For instance, a CR-submanifold of a Kaehler manifold is a CR-product (i.e. locally a Riemannian product of a holomorphic and a totally real submanifold) if and only if the canonical tensor P is parallel on the submanifold. Since, warped product manifolds are generalized version of Riemannian product of manifolds, in this article, we consider the covariant derivatives of the structure tensors on a hemi-slant submanifold of a Kaehler manifold. Our investigations have led us to characterize hemi-slant warped product submanifolds.

AbstractGiven a Kähler manifold (Z, J, ω) and a compact real submanifold M ⊂ Z, we study the properties of the gradient map associated with the action of a noncompact real reductive Lie group G on the space of probability measures on M. In particular, we prove convexity results for such map when G is Abelian and we investigate how to extend them to the non-Abelian case.

In this paper we study the complex indicatrix associated to a complex Finsler space as an embedded CR - hypersurface of the holomorphic tangent bundle, considered in a fixed point. Following the study of CR - submanifolds of a K?hler manifold, there are investigated some properties of the complex indicatrix as a real submanifold of codimension one, using the submanifold formulae and the fundamental equations. As a result, the complex indicatrix is an extrinsic sphere of the holomorphic tangent space in each fibre of a complex Finsler bundle. Also, submersions from the complex indicatrix onto an almost Hermitian manifold and some properties that can occur on them are studied. As application, an explicit submersion onto the complex projective space is provided.

We present a new connection between the Hele-Shaw flow, also known as two-dimensional Laplacian growth, and the theory of holomorphic discs with boundary contained in a totally real submanifold. Using this, we prove short-time existence and uniqueness of the Hele-Shaw flow with varying permeability both when starting from a single point and also when starting from a smooth Jordan domain. Applying the same ideas, we prove that the moduli space of smooth quadrature domains is a smooth manifold whose dimension we also calculate, and we give a local existence theorem for the inverse potential problem in the plane.

AbstractA generically embedded real submanifold of codimension two in a complex manifold has isolated complex points that can be classified as either elliptic or hyperbolic. In this paper we show that a pair consisting of one elliptic and one hyperbolic complex point of the same sign can be cancelled by a $\mathcal {C}^{0}$small isotopy of embeddings.
