This research deals with the initial investigations on the concept of a chaos-driven evolutionary algorithm Differential evolution. This paper is aimed at the embedding of simple two-dimensional chaotic system, which is Lozi map, in the form of chaos pseudo random number generator for Differential Evolution. The chaotic system of interest is the discrete dissipative system. Repeated simulations were performed on standard benchmark Schwefel’s test function in higher dimensions. Finally, the obtained results are compared with canonical Differential Evolution.

The geometric approach to generalized complex and three-dimensional hyper-complex numbers and more general algebraic structures being based upon a general vector space structure and a geometric multiplication rule which was only recently developed is continued here in dimension four and above. To this end, the notions of geometric vector product and geometric exponential function are extended to arbitrary finite dimensions and some usual algebraic rules known from usual complex numbers are replaced with new ones. An application for the construction of directional probability distributions is presented.

In this paper, we investigate the existence of random absolutely continuous invariant measures (ACIP) for random expanding on average Saussol maps in higher dimensions. This is done by the establishment of a random Lasota–Yorke inequality for the transfer operators on the space of bounded oscillation. We prove that the number of ergodic skew product ACIPs is finite and will provide an upper bound for the number of these ergodic ACIPs. This work can be seen as a generalization of the work in [F. Batayneh and C. González-Tokman, On the number of invariant measures for random expanding maps in higher dimensions, Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. 41 (2021) 5887–5914] on admissible random Jabłoński maps to a more general class of higher-dimensional random maps.

We propose a roadmap for bootstrapping conformal field theories (CFTs) described by gauge theories in dimensions d>2d>2. In particular, we provide a simple and workable answer to the question of how to detect the gauge group in the bootstrap calculation. Our recipe is based on the notion of decoupling operator, which has a simple (gauge) group theoretical origin, and is reminiscent of the null operator of 2d2d Wess-Zumino-Witten CFTs in higher dimensions. Using the decoupling operator we can efficiently detect the rank (i.e. color number) of gauge groups, e.g., by imposing gap conditions in the CFT spectrum. We also discuss the physics of the equation of motion, which has interesting consequences in the CFT spectrum as well. As an application of our recipes, we study a prototypical critical gauge theory, namely the scalar QED which has a U(1)U(1) gauge field interacting with critical bosons. We show that the scalar QED can be solved by conformal bootstrap, namely we have obtained its kinks and islands in both d=3d=3 and d=2+\epsilond=2+ϵ dimensions.

We investigate the spectral properties of one-dimensional lattices with position-dependent hopping amplitudes and on-site potentials that are smooth bounded functions of the position. We find an exact integral form for the density of states (DOS) in the limit of an infinite number of sites, which we derive using a mixed Bloch-Wannier basis consisting of piecewise Wannier functions. Next, we provide an exact solution for the inverse problem of constructing the position-dependence of hopping in a lattice model yielding a given DOS. We confirm analytic results by comparing them to numerics obtained by exact diagonalization for various incarnations of position-dependent hoppings and on-site potentials. Finally, we generalize the DOS integral form to multi-orbital tight-binding models with longer-range hoppings and in higher dimensions.
