DoS (denial of service) assault is the most prevalent assault these days. It imposes a major risk to cybersecurity. At the point when this assault is propelled by numerous conveyed machines on a solitary server machine, it is called as a DDoS (distributed denial of service) assault. Additionally, DoS bypass on DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol) server assault is a rising and famous assault in a system. The authors have proposed a stochastic intrusion detection game-based arrangement utilizing controlled Markov chain that figures the transition probabilities starting with one state then onto the next in a state transition diagram. At first, the authors have conjectured these assaults, and after that, they proposed a methodology that uses the idea of master and slave IPS (intrusion prevention system). This approach works well when mapped to these estimated assaults and accordingly helps in the recognition and counteractive action of these assaults in a cloud domain.

This paper focuses on proposing a system for centralization of the IT infrastructure by building upon the concept of Diskless Booting. The client stations are configured to boot over an existing network using the Network Boot. The Client Station lacks an actual Hard Drive, which is responsible for storing the boot files and other necessary files. It consists of other hardware excluding the Hard Drive such as, RAM, Processor, etc. The network consists of DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server which assigns IP addresses to several client stations connected. The NIS (Network Information Service) server stores the login credentials of all the users, enabling the users to login from any client station without any restrictions. The NFS (Network File System) server makes the files available for the user, even on the absence of local secondary storage. Security is ensured by SHA (Security Hash Algorithm), which encrypts the sensitive data by creating the hash values. Individual ports and services can be kept secured by using the Firewall service. The open source Cockpit Tool provides a GUI with which the administrator can conveniently carry out several admin-oriented tasks, such as memory management, user management.


Information technology is being used at numerous places fulfilling various purposes. Doing work at one place by professors and sharing it at another place either to faculty members and students becomes quite difficult. As doing tasks on one PC, a professor might have to visit different classes and labs due to various reasons. Similarly a student working on a project might have to access a particular project document in multiple labs and classes. Head of Department has to visit various rooms and classes in a particular day. It would be very tedious job to carry laptop everywhere. There might be a situation when a user wants to share a particular data with more than 1 user. There can also be a situation when a particular message/ information need to be shared with the entire university. So this research work proposes a novel approach to communicate among various users that are present at different sites at the same time where at university premises network system is being proposed which would help departments to share information among faculty members and students Proposed approach takes the help of sharing common network domain by DNS and applies heterogeneous BUS topology model to explore various concepts like topology design, creating dynamic host configuration protocol, sub net masking, DNS and VLAN within a single network with the help of Cisco Packet Tracer to make the network more secured and cost effective.

PT Aplikanusa Lintasarta Project Management and Resource Management (PMRM) division has the task to providing network services and manage networks that are used both for PT Aplikanusa Lintasarta and clients. PMRM division has several problems, one of which is the replacement and addition of network devices used so that it must do a new network configuration. One of the solutions offered is to implement a Local Area Network (LAN) in PMRM division. This network implementation is needed because the network at the company will someday develop more along with the many users and technological developments. LAN implementation uses several network devices, like a router, switch, network cable (UTP cable), and PC or laptop as user. Some of features that used in this LAN network are website blocking, (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) DHCP, Hotspot, and bandwidth. Testing on LAN networks is done by calculating throughput, delay, and packet loss. This test is needed to find out how well LAN network works.

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol merupakan service yang memungkinkan perangkat dapat mendistribusikan/assign IP Address secara otomatis pada host dalam sebuah jaringan. Cara kerjanya, DHCP Server akan memberikan response terhadap request yang dikirimkan oleh DHCP Client. Selain IP Address, DHCP juga mampu mendistribusikan informasi netmask, Default gateway, Konfigurasi DNS dan NTP Server serta masih banyak lagi custom option (tergantung apakah DHCP client bisa support). Mikrotik dapat digunakan sebagai DHCP Server maupun DHCP Client atau keduanya secara bersamaan. Sebagai contoh, misalnya kita berlangganan internet dari ISP A. ISP A tidak memberikan informasi IP statik yang harus dipasang pada perangkat kita, melainkan akan memberikan IP secara otomatis melalui proses DHCP.DHCP CLIENTPada saat kedua DHCP client dihidupkan , maka komputer tersebut melakukan request ke DHCP-Server untuk mendapatkan nomor IP. DHCP menjawab dengan memberikan nomor IP yang ada di database DHCP. DHCP Server setelah memberikan nomor IP, maka server meminjamkan (lease) nomor IP yang ada ke DHCP-Client dan mencoret nomor IP tersebut dari daftar pool. Nomor IP diberikan bersama dengan subnet mask dan default gateway. Jika tidak ada lagi nomor IP yang dapat diberikan, maka client tidak dapat menginisialisasi TCP/IP, dengan sendirinya tidak dapat tersambung pada jaringan tersebut.Setelah periode waktu tertentu, maka pemakaian DHCP Client tersebut dinyatakan selesai dan client tidak memperbaharui permintaan kembali, maka nomor IP tersebut dikembalikan kepada DHCP Server, dan server dapat memberikan nomor IP tersebut kepada Client yang membutuhkan. Lama periode ini dapat ditentukan dalam menit, jam, bulan atau selamanya. Jangka waktu disebut leased period.DHCP RELAYDHCP Relay adalah proxy yang mampu menerima dan mengirim ulang permintaan DHCP ke DHCP server yang sebenarnya. Pada jaringan besar umumnya terdiri dari banyak segmen (umumnya VLAN) dan ratusan atau bahkan ribuan komputer. Tentu sulit sekali untuk me-manage IP untuk sekian banyaknya PC itu.Kata Kunci : Jaringan dan Komputer

Pengertian atau penjelasan dhcp server dan dhcp client - DHCP merupakan singkatan dari Dynamic Host Configuration Procotol, untuk yang baru saja belajar membuat atau mengenal jaringan secara teori maupun praktek akan banyak sekali pertanyaan-pertanyaan dari diri pribadi guna mengetahui, mendapatkan informasi sejelas mungkin.Pengertian DHCP Server dan DHCP Client, pertanyaan sering muncul saat kita menemukan sesuatu, kasus atau masalah atau pertanyaan dari orang lain dilapangan, saat membaca atau melihat perbedaan antara dhcp server dan dhcp client, begitu juga dengan saya pribadi sempat terlintas hendak menanyakan perbedaan dhcp server dan dhcp client pada salah seorang guru jaringan di sekolah, tapi ada rasa takut tuk bertanya akan hal tersebut, kekawatiran penjelasan yang disampaikan tidak bisa membuat saya mengerti ataukah terlalu teoritis atau memang demikian red : rada seram gurunya.Tulisan kali ini saya mencoba memberikan sedikit penjelasan dhcp server dan dhcp client, berdasarkan pendapat saya semoga tidak salah dalam penyampaiannya.Secara umum diketahui istilah dhcp dipergunakan pada jaringan (configurasiprotocol), pemberian / request ip otomatis oleh server ke client dan request ip dari client ke server, cara lain pemberian ip secara manual / static. jika diartikan dari singkatan DHCP - Dynamic Host Configurasi Protocol,Kata Kunci : DHCP Server dan DHCP client

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) merupakan sebuah protocol jaringan yang berbasis arsitektur client/server yang dipakai untuk memudahkan pengalokasian alamat IP dalam suatu jaringan. Jadi semua client yang terhubung ke server tidak usah mengisi alamat IP secara manual karena sudah otomatis diisi oleh server DHCP. Selain alamat IP, banyak parameter lain yang diberikan oleh DHCP, seperti default gateway dan DNS server.DHCP digunakan karena jaringan semakin besar dan semakin kompleks sehingga butuh konfigurasi yang dinamis. Selain itu kita tidak perlu konfigurasi IP di tiap komputer client atau istilahnya tidak perlu manual konfigurasi di client, sehingga pengiriman informasi dapat dilakukan tanpa admin. Host-host yang terkonfigurasi secara statis bisa berdampingan dengan yang dinamisKata Kunci : Konsep Dasar DHCP Server
