The study was carried out on two mixers of different designs: basic and developed. To evaluate and analyze the finished mixture, the method of high performance liquid chromatography was used. Taurine was used as a key component. The paper describes how the rational parameters of the mixer were selected, according to which recipes the mixture was prepared, and also how the final assessment of the effectiveness of the mixing equipment was carried out. The mixtures were prepared on the equipment according to three recipes. According to the first recipe, 81 experiments were carried out, with various parameters of the mixer operation, which helped to determine their rational value. For two different mixers, they turned out to be identical, so further mixing took place with the same parameters. Based on the data obtained, graphs of dependences were built, which clearly demonstrated the difference in the obtained values of the coefficient of heterogeneity. And they made it possible to judge the influence of each individual parameter. The developed mixer design showed a lower coefficient of heterogeneity in comparison with the base one. It did not exceed 10%, unlike the latter.

When describing the mechanics of the behavior of bulk materials during their mixing, a theoretical basis for the design of the specified equipment is formed. In recent years, the most well-known methods of modeling this process include the stochastic approach, in the framework of which models of the following types are actively developing: cell, managerial, with time series, energy, etc. Moreover, as a rule, predicting the quality of the finished mixture according to the selected criterion is achieved by using numerical calculation methods based on the generated cyber system. Of particular interest is the use of the energy method from the statistical mechanics of nonequilibrium processes due to the possibility of obtaining analytical simulation results. The paper describes the motion models of bulk components in rarefied flows, which are built on the basis of the energy method and take into account the main characteristics of the studied mixing process.

Seed pelleting is an efficient way to improve the sowing quality of seeds. Diverse positive effect of pelleting is mostly noticeable for beet seeds. Increased size and spherical shape of seeds with shell allows to use precision seeding technology, as well as fertilizers and protective agents being part of the shell, increase their sowing potential and finally increase yields. To obtain pelleted seeds, it is required to use a specialized line with a seed pelleting machine being the main equipment. An improved design of centrifugal batch-operated seed pelleting machine has been developed and manufactured in Belarusian State Agricultural Academy. To activate the process of rolling the shell in the mixing chamber of the pelleting machine, it was proposed to use separately installed blades. Based on theoretical and experimental studies, the main structural and technological parameters of the pelleting machine has been determined to ensure the highest quality of pelleted seeds. Seeds of sugar beet of the domestic variety “Polybel” obtained in a favorable climate were selected for experimental studies. Finished mixture based on bentonite clay was selected as a filler of the seed coat. After the coat formation, the insect-fungicidal dressing agent Prestige was applied to the seeds. The seeds of sugar beet of the domestic variety “Polybel” obtained on experimental pelleting machine showed high results in germination and yield. They are comparable to imported sugar beet hybrids. Pelleting of seeds of domestic varieties of sugar beet on the territory of the Republic of Belarus can become a good alternative to imported pelleted seeds, especially considering their cost, which significantly exceeds the cost of untreated seeds.

The basis of the technological evaluation of the composition of thermoplastic for road marking is the calculation of production costs associated with a particular technological scheme. In the most General form, any process for obtaining marking thermoplastics consists of the following technological operations: preparation of components; preparation of thermoplastic mixture; rastarivanie and packaging. In principle, such schemes currently exist two: a scheme that determines the production of thermoplastics in the form of a dry mechanical mixture; a scheme that determines the production of thermoplastics in the form of homogeneous fused blocks. Mixing of all components according to the first scheme in the mixer is made within three-five minutes. During mixing, liquid components are added to the mixer, if the latter are provided by the formulation. The finished mixture is discharged through a hole in the bottom of the mixer body. Production under the second scheme has a number of undoubted advantages. This is a thorough dispersion of the components that make up the thermoplastic, which ensures uniformity of its properties in any part of the batch of manufactured material. When transporting the thermoplastic in the container does not require the shelter from atmospheric precipitation and can be stored for unlimited time in unheated warehouses. From the given data it is visible that the developed compositions received as a result of performance of the present work, in comparison with analog possess the raised adhesion to asphalt concrete and elasticity in a temperature range from -10 oC to 20 oC. These indicators allow to draw a conclusion about the best resistance of the developed material in operating conditions, especially at negative temperatures.
