This paper concerned with almost α -cosymplectic manifolds satisfying conformally flat condition. Firstly, we investigate Kaehler integral submanifolds of almost α -cosymplectic manifolds. Next, we study conformally flat almost α -cosymplectic manifolds of dim ≥ 5 whose integral submanifolds are Kaehler. Finally, an illustrative example is constructed to verify our result.

The paper treats pseudo-Riemannian spaces permitting generalized φ(Ric)-vector fields. We study conditions for the existence of such vector fields in conformally flat, equidistant, reducible and Kählerian pseudo-Riemannian spaces. The obtained results can be applied for the construction of generalized φ(Ric)-vector fields that differ from φ(Ric)-vector fields. The research is carried out locally without limitations imposed on a sign of metric tensor.

It is known that there does not exist any Hopf hypersurface in complex Grassmannians of rank two of complex dimension 2m with constant sectional curvature for m≥3. The purpose of this article is to extend the above result, and without the Hopf condition, we prove that there does not exist any locally conformally flat real hypersurface for m≥3.

Abstract Using the off-shell formulation for $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 2 conformal supergravity in four dimensions, we describe superconformal higher-spin multiplets of conserved currents in a curved background and present their associated unconstrained gauge prepotentials. The latter are used to construct locally superconformal chiral actions, which are demonstrated to be gauge invariant in arbitrary conformally flat backgrounds. The main $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 2 results are then generalised to the $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N -extended case. We also present the gauge-invariant field strengths for on-shell massless higher-spin $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 2 supermultiplets in anti-de Sitter space. These field strengths prove to furnish representations of the $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 2 superconformal group.

Conformally flat pseudo-Riemannian manifolds with generalized Ricci recurrent, [Formula: see text] structure are completely classified in this short report. A conformally flat generalized Ricci recurrent pseudo-Riemannian manifold is shown to be an Einstein manifold. In particular, a conformally flat generalized Ricci recurrent spacetime must be either a de Sitter spacetime or an anti-de Sitter spacetime.

The aim of this paper is to extend the notion of all known quasi-Einstein (QE) manifolds like generalized QE, mixed generalized QE manifold, pseudo generalized QE manifold and many more and name it comprehensive QE manifold [Formula: see text]. We investigate some geometric and physical properties of the comprehensive QE manifolds [Formula: see text] under certain conditions. We study the conformal and conharmonic mappings between [Formula: see text] manifolds. Then we examine the [Formula: see text] with harmonic Weyl tensor. We define the manifold of comprehensive quasi-constant curvature and prove that conformally flat [Formula: see text] is manifold of comprehensive quasi-constant curvature and vice versa. We study the general two viscous fluid spacetime [Formula: see text] and find out some important consequences about [Formula: see text]. We study [Formula: see text] with vanishing space matter tensor. Finally, we prove the existence of such manifolds by constructing nontrivial example.

This paper deals with the dynamics of cylindrical collapse with anisotropic fluid distribution in the framework of [Formula: see text] gravity. For this purpose, we consider non-static and static cylindrical spacetimes in the inner and outer regions of a star, respectively. To match both geometries at the hypersurface, we consider the Darmois junction conditions. We use the Misner–Sharp technique to examine the impacts of correction terms and effective fluid parameters on the dynamics of a cylindrical star. A correlation between the Weyl tensor and physical quantities is also developed. The conformally flat condition is not obtained due to the influence of anisotropic pressure and higher-order nonlinear terms. Further, we assume isotropic fluid and specific model of this theory which yields the conformally flat spacetime and inhomogeneous energy density. We conclude that the collapse rate reduces as compared to general relativity due to the inclusion of effective pressure and additional terms of this theory.

Some classical aspects of Metric–Affine Gravity are reviewed in the context of the [Formula: see text] type models (polynomials of degree [Formula: see text] in the Riemann tensor) and the topologically massive gravity. At the nonperturbative level, we explore the consistency of the field equations when the [Formula: see text] models are reduced to a Riemann–Christoffel (RCh) space–time, either via a Riemann–Cartan (RC) space or via an Einstein–Weyl (EW) space. It is well known for the case [Formula: see text] that any path or reduction “classes” via RC or EW leads to the same field equations with the exception of the [Formula: see text] theories for [Formula: see text]. We verify that this discrepancy can be solved by imposing nonmetricity and torsion constraints. In particular, we explore the case [Formula: see text] for the interest in expected physical solutions as those of conformally flat class. On the other hand, the symmetries of the topologically massive gravity are reviewed, as the physical content in RC and EW scenarios. The appearance of a nonlinearly modified selfdual model in RC and existence of many nonunitary degrees of freedom in EW with the suggestion of a modified model for a massive gravity which cure the unphysical propagations shall be discussed.
