This paper discusses different air management technologies for fuel cell systems. Two different types of compressors are analyzed for Proton-exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC). Some important criteria are analyzed thoroughly for the selection of turbo compressor among different types of compressors illustrated with the help of matrix representations. The impacts of various input parameters for Fuel Cell (FC) are also explained thoroughly. Later the numerical modeling of an automobile fuel cell system using a high speed turbo-compressor for air supply is explained. The numerical model incorporates the important input parameters related with air and hydrogen. It also performed energy and mass balances across different components such as pump, fan, heat-exchanger, air compressor and also keeps in consideration the pressure drop across the flow pipes and various mechanical parts. The model is solved to obtain the characteristics of the FC system at different operating conditions. Therefore, it can be concluded that the high speed turbo compressor with a turbo-expander can have significant effects on the overall system power and efficiency.

In hot climatic regions, some kind of cooling system is necessary to avoid warmth and humidity. Many of the available cooling systems are not economic and sustainable. In this study, sustainable and feasible space/room cooling systems have been experimentally analyzed. A solar operated cooling system with two options have been designed and their performances are compared. Phase Change Material (PCM) is proposed to store thermal energy instead of a costly battery. A 1200-watt compressor and fin-type condenser are used to construct the vapor compression system. When the incoming air is passed through the cooling coil, it gets cool. For this cooling coil, 50 feet copper tube is used. The front side copper tube diameter of the fan is 3/8 inch and the backside tube diameter is 1/2 inch. It took about 35 minutes and 5 minutes to minimize the room temperature at the desired level in the case of the stand fan and duct fan, respectively. Furthermore, the stand fan and duct fan systems reduced 3 ℃ and 6 ℃ of the outside temperature, respectively.

Engineers have been using the material balance equation (MBE) for almost the last five decades to estimate cumulative production. However, it still is an effective tool to estimate the original hydrocarbon (oil and gas) available in the reservoir. The conventional material balance method has been successfully applying for the regular structure of a typical reservoir. In this method, all formation properties are assumed constant. However, it is very important to take care of the alteration of rock and fluid properties concerning space and time during the production history of the reservoir. Therefore, there is an immense need to understand how rocks and fluid properties change with space and time. In this paper, a thorough review and critical analysis of MBE are presented so that researchers can find a solution to why and how the incorporation of continuous alteration phenomena is needed to be considered during the development of new and dynamic MBE. Besides, the need for incorporation of all unconventional properties is detailed in this review research This review will help the new researcher to get a guideline for starting further research on the material balance equation. This study makes a crucial scope for carrying research to make a way out for the nonlinear behavior of the reservoir. This article also shows how different unconventional properties of the reservoir have been overlooked in many researches works. Finally, a guideline is provided to overcome the previous challenges in estimating hydrocarbon reserve, and workflow is presented to develop a new dynamic MBE.
