Drawing from the corpus of the twenty-four authors anthologised in Poeti italiani nati negli anni ’80 e ’90 (Latiano, Interno Poesia, 2019-2020), this work aims to give an account of the recurring themes and topics of these texts. The first two volumes of this anthology reveal, in spite of a rich formal differentiation and a variety of stylistic solutions, a strong concordance of themes and desire: thematically, these works betray an anxiety concerning the problem of the disintegration of the world, yet they also share in a desire for salvation, achieved by reconstituting oneself in an individual or communal space, through the specific means of poetry. Thus, the images of collapse and epidemic prevail, variously resolved in urban and peripheral contexts, equally opposed by repeated attempts of nostoi and a strong craving for light. This horizontal tendency seems to be the link through which to weave a broader generational discourse which transcends individual authors. A key for interpreting this discourse will be offered, in the second part of the paper, in the function of creative nostalgia.

The article proposes to make an assessment of recurring features of Italian contemporary poetry during the first twenty years of the 21st century. Five tendencies are here analysed: 1) the representation of subjectivities different from that of the authorial self; 2) deflation and expansion of the poetic self; 3) short poem; 4) installation poetry; 5) poetry in prose. Among these tendencies the first three will be more thoroughly investigated.

The notes here collected have been prepared by Franca Mancinelli for the editors of the Amos Edizioni book series A27 poesia, following the publishing house's proposal to arrange the structure of Libretto di transito according to a thematical thread, gathering texts marked by the presence of water, animals, and so forth. These notes are both a reflection and a self analysis aimed at defining the structure of the book as it was conceived by the author herself. The final version of the book follow this choice, although some texts were eventually excluded.

In the article the author analyses the transition from poem in verses to "poem in prose" in Franca Mancinelli’s works. This stylistic choice was defined by the ability of the poem in prose to represent trauma. The article contains the results of an analysis of Libretto di transito from the point of view of post-traumatic memory.

The poetic writings of Hédi Bouraoui, a Canadian poet of Tunisian origin, where pictorial images of Raw Art are inserted, are part of intuitivism, an artistic expression that "invites dialogue, permanent conversation between different cultures, exchange, creation of a multi-artistic space in which all arts express themselves without borders" (Eric Sivry, 2003). Our article will examine the convergence between Bouraoui's poetry, intuitivism and Raw Art, Bouraoui's conception of intuition coinciding with the "pure and authentic creative impulse" from which art, according to Jean Dubuffet, originated.

The article compares the poetic trends which emerged during the 1970s, and still present in the field of contemporary poetry, with the latest poems written by the Milanese author, Milo De Angelis. By underlining the problem of the crisis of the subject, the article also considers how this phenomenon may affect the vision of the poetic chronotope. Distancing itself from the dominant approach found in contemporary poetry, De Angelis' latest collection, Linea intera, linea spezzata (2021), aims instead to recover the status of the subject and the autonomy of the lyrical encounter through a particular form of memory.

Abstract eng: The paper tries to describe the continuity in Franca Mancinelli’s poetry books, studying the chronological progress of themes and its way of forming intertextual connections in each book or between one another. The connections’ study has the purpose to show the singular structure of each books. By looking at the structures, it can be detected Mancinelli’s method of building a structure and a poetry book. This leads to discover the variations in texts and to the study of the last versions of them. The paper aims also to define the form of self rewriting in Mancinelli’s recent books by analysing those variants in texts. The process of rewriting founds his explanation in themes’, style’s and structure’s analysis, showing a trend in the poet’s style.

The recently published anthology of Luigi Di Ruscio’s works (Poesie scelte: 1953-2010) reintroduces this author to Italian readership. Born in Fermo and emigrated to Oslo, following his debut as a neorealist he remained removed and detached from contemporary literary movements. As a poet and novelist Luigi Di Ruscio did not enjoy a large audience in his lifetime. The operation carried out with his posthumous publications constitutes a rediscovery of an otherwise minor author. Precisely by virtue of Di Ruscio’s placement amongst minor poets and because of the critical productivity of this category, this paper proposes to reevaluate the texts within the anthology by reinserting them in their historical context. This will allow us to ascertain the presence of alternative paths to already codified practices of poetic writing which are applicable or recognizable today.

This essay will consist of a critical reading of Per diverse ragioni, the latest collection by the poet Domenico Brancale published in 2017 for Passigli. Through a transversal reading of the poetic text, the main thematic and poetic issues of the author will be analyzed. A second point of interest will be the deepening of the ontological framework and of the conceptual meanings of the collection, and it will be connected to an investigation relating to its formal and philosophical-speculative derivations.
