<div>We describe and apply a general approach based on graph-theory to obtain kinetic and structural properties from direct dynamics simulations. In particular, we focus on the unimolecular fragmentation of complex systems in which, prior to dissociation, different events can take place, and notably isomerizations and formation of ion-molecule complex.</div><div>3-state and 4-state kinetic models are thus obtained and rate constants for global or specific pathways are obtained from direct counting and flux calculation, both being in agreement.<br />Finally, we show how a theoretical mass spectrum can also be obtained automatically.<br /></div>

Components condition could change dynamically because of various dependencies existing in complex systems since usually not only physical connections exist in the system. Various processes (as degradation or wear out, reliability decrease, failures) affecting one component have influence to condition of other components as well. Current paper is devoted to the analysis and development of mathematical models to the reliability assessment of network systems. Degradation as the main process in the network systems is taken into account. The main attention in present work was paid to the mathematical description of the degradation spreading mechanism in network systems. Developed recursive mathematical model allows assess degradation in network systems during various time moments. Developed methods can be applied for assessment of various risk estimates of hazardous systems such as systems at nuclear power plants.

This article reports on some of the results of a study whose objective was to interpret students' and teachers' learning as it emerged out of the interactions generated in and beyond the context of their EFL class in a state school in Barranquilla, Colombia. In this study I use principles of complex systems (MORIN, 1994) to make sense of the learning systems of students and teachers in an EFL class in Barranquilla, Colombia. The data for this ethnographic case-study include classroom observations, interviews, learning journals and documents (students' notebooks, worksheets, quizzes, and syllabus). A qualitative software program (Atlas.ti 6.0) was used to process data. Results from this study contribute to understand learning as a complex system by approaching students' learning from a complex perspective recursively connected to teachers' learning.
