Agriculture is associated with a number of unique risks due to environmental impacts, high volatility of supply and demand, and political changes. The materials of the article make it possible to diagnose agricultural risks and develop adequate management measures in the digital economy. The choice of a specific management structure in an agricultural organization should be aimed at elimi-nating all forms of contractual hazards detected between the contracting parties at such a distance that trans-action costs are minimized. At the same time, in hybrid forms of organization, such as supply chain networks, the main parameters should be defined: the distribution of decision-making rights, the selection of managers and specialists who have the right to make strategic decisions within the framework of the network offer and apply inter-organizational risk and reward mechanisms within the agricultural organization.

Intelligent housing is a novelty in Lithuania yet. Such housing is not popular in our country. Specialists of automation claim that such situation occurred not only because people lack knowledge but also because the concept of intelligent housing is interpreted erroneously (most people think that remotely controlled door of garage, for instance, makes their housing intelligent). Intelligent helpers started to emerge in households only recently. Intelligent ambient assisted environment model, created by authors, helps to evaluate intelligent ambient assisted environment by social, cultural, political, legal, economical, technological and environmental factors analysis. Basing on this model also ambient assisted environment supply and demand as well as various criteria evaluation, the system able to select the best intelligent devices alternatives accordingly to each family needs was created. Through analysis of separate parts of an existing household, it is possible to distinguish intelligent devices that I study, ie intelligent lock, intelligent robot‐cleaner, intelligent infant respiratory monitor, intelligent sentinel and intelligent keyboard. Users of intelligent devices are families of young people, who want to save time and who appreciate convenience and innovations. Advantages and benefits of devices used by families of young people are being analysed. In order to provide the best guarantee for rational selection of variants of intelligent devices, decisions must be based on the system of criteria which describes variants of intelligent devices, the decision Support system must reflect consumer requirements to the best possible extent, and the data provided in the system must be real and updated easily. Computer and internet technologies, multi‐variant evaluation methods as well as principles and requirements applicable to favourable residential environment are combined to achieve this goal.

The rapid development of cloud computing requires improvement of pricing and allocation mechanisms of cloud resources. Dynamic pricing and allocation mechanisms are considered convenient, due to characteristics of cloud resources and the fact that demand for cloud resources is not uniform. The aims of such a mechanism are to optimize the utilization of cloud resources, to maximize cloud providers' revenues, and to minimize prices for cloud customers. Auction-based pricing and allocation mechanisms are often used since resources are allocated to the customers that value them the most, and prices are determined depending on the supply and demand conditions. Selection of an appropriate bidding strategy is a very important issue and requires the comprehensive approach. This chapter analyses the benefits of auction-based pricing and allocation mechanism in the cloud environment. In addition, the effects of different bidding strategies application are addressed.

In recent years, the evolution process of urbanization in our country has constantly quickened, and the energy consumption is centralized to the city fast, besides, the gap between energy supply and demand is growing. As a result, the sustainable utilization of the urban energy and the ecological environment of the city follow closely. It is significant to choose a reasonable urbanization developing pattern to improve the sustainable development ability of the city. The urban spatial development model has impacts on the travel modes of the inhabitants, the trip distribution, the transportation structure and the consumption of urban building, then affects the energy efficiency. According to the reference of other countries’ development, we proposed reasonable patterns of urbanization and suitable policy that government should adopt in China: be reasonable to tighten city; optimizes the spatial structure of big cities; promotes the concept of TOD.

It is possible to define the concept of risk in various ways. Risk is the deviation possibility of the realized value from the expected value. It has two components, nonsystematic risk and systematic risk. Despite this, pandemics are risk factors that cannot be anticipated. They have deeply affected economies and financial markets under every condition. The importance of the detection of the COVID-19 pandemic comes from the selection of monetary and fiscal policies to be applied by governments during the rehabilitation process of economies. Equity share markets provide important information regarding the future of a company or economy. The reason for this is that the current value of an equity share is dependent on the deducted calculation of the cash flows of the equity share to be provided in the future. The actual price of the equity share is determined according to supply and demand under market conditions.

This paper puts the supply and demand of external technology into the scope of knowledge potential difference and discusses the choice of innovation mode in high-tech industry from the perspective of knowledge potential difference. And based on high technology industry in 2009-2016 provincial panel data, the relative difference between the human capital of universities and the human capital of high-tech industries is used to measure the regional knowledge potential difference. The threshold regression method is used to empirically test the nonlinear effect of innovation mode on innovation performance of high-tech industry under different knowledge potential differences and identify the “Inverted U” mechanism of knowledge potential difference on external technology transfer of high-tech industry. The results show that there are two thresholds for knowledge potential difference in Chinese provinces, and with the increase of knowledge potential difference, the efficiency of independent R&D in high-tech industries decreases. When the knowledge potential difference is moderate, the innovation mode of domestic technology transformation can significantly promote the high-tech industry. According to the two threshold values, the knowledge potential difference of each jurisdiction presents typical three-stage regular changes. The conclusion of this paper provides theoretical support for the innovation mode selection of high-tech industry.
