The trend to implement the monitoring system with a wireless sensor network has been becoming urgent due to guaranteed flight safety and the passengers comfortability in travel. In this paper, a new dynamic routing algorithm is proposed to prolong the lifetime of the monitoring system with a distributed network based on the K-coverage method, and filter algorithm to be used for data fusion. Finally, the simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

In the process of coal-mine production, the self-ignition of left coal in goaf area has always been major disasters, and spawns amount of economic loss. As a consequence, it is necessary and essential to monitor the self-ignition of left coal in goaf. In consideration of the complex and poor environment of the goaf area, this thesis adopts ZigBee wireless sensor network instead of traditional fixed cable sensor network to monitor the self-ignition of coal goaf area. It has the advantages of wild covering, convenient layout and easy adapting to environment. In addition, counting on the revised routing algorithm, the whole wireless sensor network has obvious advantages of its network performance and low consumption, which makes the whole system monitor the self-ignition of left coal steadily and permanently.

In ultra precision machining processes, an effective monitoring system can maintain machine tools in the best condition and delay the occurrence of tool wear and improve the quality of workpiece. In this paper, a distributed system is developed for monitoring of multi-machine tool based on wireless sensor network. Firstly, the sensor in the machine tool is responsible for the information collection and data processing. Secondly, the wireless network is used to transmit the data or receive the commands from the computer of control center. Finally, the computer will monitor the overall system and generate the alarm signals or the commands when the change of environment information occurs. The experimental results have shown the effectiveness of the proposed distributed system.

To improve the efficiency of the remote monitoring system for logistics transportation, we proposed a remote monitoring system based on wireless sensor network and GPRS communication. The system can collect information from the wireless sensor network and transmit the information to the ZigBee interpreter. The monitoring system mainly includes the following parts: Car terminal, GPRS transmission network and monitoring center. Car terminal mainly consists by the Zigbee microcontroller and peripherals, wireless sensor nodes, RFID reader, GPRS wireless communication module composed of a micro-wireless monitoring network. The information collected by the sensor communicates through the GPRS and the monitoring center on the network coordinator, sends the collected information to the monitoring center, and the monitoring center realizes the information of the logistics vehicle in real time. The system has high applicability, meets the design requirements in the real-time acquisition and information transmission of the information of the logistics transport vehicles and goods, and realizes the function of remote monitoring.
