This chapter discusses a case for single-parameter singular integral operators, where ρ‎ is the usual distance on ℝn. There, we obtain the most classical theory of singular integrals, which is useful for studying elliptic partial differential operators. The chapter defines singular integral operators in three equivalent ways. This trichotomy can be seen three times, in increasing generality: Theorems 1.1.23, 1.1.26, and 1.2.10. This trichotomy is developed even when the operators are not translation invariant (many authors discuss such ideas only for translation invariant, or nearly translation invariant operators). It also presents these ideas in a slightly different way than is usual, which helps to motivate later results and definitions.

Pruning is one of the most crucial tree maintenance activities which give an impact on the tree's health and structure. Besides, improper pruning will contribute to the risk of injury to property and the public. This study aims to assess pruning knowledge among four Local authorities in Malaysia. Results found that 69.3 percent of tree pruning workers have a Good pruning knowledge level. However, Topping, pruning types and pruning cut dimension shows the lowest mean percentage of the correct answer. The findings also show that there is a significant positive relationship between pruning knowledge and education level and frequency attending pruning courses.Keywords: Tree pruning; knowledge; sustainable practices; urban treeseISSN: 2398-4287 © 2020. Global health is at a crossroads. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development has come with ambitious targets for health and health services worldwide. To reach these targets, many more billions of dollars need to be spent on health. However, development assistance for health has plateaued and domestic funding on health in most countries is growing at rates too low to close the financing gap. National and international decision-makers face tough choices about how scarce health care resources should be spent. Should additional funds be spent on primary prevention of stroke, treating childhood cancer, or expanding treatment for HIV/AIDS? Should health coverage decisions take into account the effects of illness on productivity, household finances, and children’s educational attainment, or should they just focus on health outcomes? Does age matter for priority-setting or should it be ignored? Are health gains far in the future less important than gains in the present? Should higher priority be given to people who are sicker or poorer? This book provides a framework for how to think about evidence-based priority-setting in health. Over 18 chapters, ethicists, philosophers, economists, policymakers, and clinicians from around the world assess the state of current practice in national and global priority-setting, describe new tools and methodologies to address establishing global health priorities, and tackle the most important ethical questions that decision-makers must consider in allocating health resources.

This chapter models some of the results of the previous chapter. It builds on the recently developed notion of parameter hierarchies. Parameter hierarchies are sets of dependent parameters giving rise to chains of implicational relations among languages. The languages discussed in this book are positioned on a parameter hierarchy of ϕ‎-probes: some languages do not show any kind of agreement, others with a single ϕ‎-probe can agree with one argument, yet others with more than one probe with more arguments. It is argued that this hierarchy restricts agreement across languages in some ways, but that other parameters are needed to account for the full range of data studied in the book. This chapter concludes that there is no single parameter that governs differential object and differential subject marking.
