Smart Home is one of the popular technological advances and developed by researchers or academics because of its high potential to be implemented in various fields. Smart Home is an Internet of Things based technology, which means that by connecting to the internet everyone can connect whenever and wherever they are. With the presence of smart home, it can simplify human problems and limitations. This paper describes the design and prototype of smart Home based on Internet of Things Applications on Android. There is an android application that functions to control and monitor the smart home. By using NodeMCU, is used as a line communication device between users and smartphones. The use of databases in Firebase makes the data on the smart home always real-time active because it is connected to Google servers. We also develop an android application; thus smart home can be controlled by its owner. Keywords: Smart Home, Internet of Thing, Android, Firebase.

In recent years, people may disremember to turn off various devices or not be sure open or closed. Predefined scenarios for these people, home comfort and efficiency in the workplace will help a lot. Most people spend time with mobile phones throughout the day. Therefore, the control of smart devices by phones would be an appropriate solution. In this study, it is designed with microcontroller based intelligent building automation system hardware and software to provide energy efficient, security and comfort. The programming of the microcontroller, writing the android application program for the mobile phone and MySQL database software were realized. Microcontroller with GSM shield, it is possible to control the devices connected to the system by an android application automatically and manually by means of the internet connection by the MySQL database on the remote server. It is ensured that all devices are adjusted with a single touch according to predefined scenarios.

Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman dan meningkatnya ekonomi masyarakat permintaan akan kebutuhan rumah yang aman dan nyaman kian meningkat, serta penggunaan internet yang tanpa kita sadari hadir pada kehidupan kita sehari hari menjadikan kita sebagai masyarakat yang berada dalam putaran IoE (Internet of Everything) sehingga saya tertarik untuk mengembangkan smart home dengan konsep Internet of Thing sebagai sekala yang lebih kecil dari Internet of Everything Laporan ini adalah hasil dari pembuatan karya prototype smart home dengan konsep internet of thing menggunakan arduino Wemos D1 dan web browser, membahas mengenai cara kerja dari hubungan arduino wemos d1 yang di kontrol melalui website sebagai langkah penerapan internet of thing dengan menggunakan ip public, menggunakan device komputer sebagai perantara dan dibantu dengan. Dengan adanya prototype ini diharapkan para pengembang selanjutnya baik dari akademisi maupun non-akademisi dapat mengetahui dan mempelajari konsep gabungan antara smart home dan internet of thing secara lebih interaktif, walaupun penulis menyadari masih banyak yang harus diperbaiki dan dikembangkan dari prototype yang penulis buat ini

The remote control system on electrical equipment in the room can be fulfilled through the internet as an IoT (Internet of Things) implementation. All devices managed from one interface, so home appliances management delivered quickly and conveniently. The main contribution in this research is IP based controlling for rooms with control lights and vertical curtains, and also the temperature of the air conditioner (AC) with IoT Technology. The used hardware is Raspberry Pi 3 as a server, Relay, motor stepper, IR led Transmitter, and temperature sensor DS18B20. For implementation, an android application is built by MIT App Inventor 2. The results show that all features function correctly, but each device responds with a different delay value.  Delay time response of a lamp, vertical blind, and AC is up to 1.5 sec, 2.1 sec, and 1.6 sec, respectively.electrical appliances, IoT, controlling system, smart room
