AbstractThe paper has two parts, in the first part, we apply the localisation technique to the Rozansky–Witten theory on compact hyperkähler targets. We do so via first reformulating the theory as some supersymmetric sigma-model. We obtain the exact formula for the partition function with Wilson loops on $$S^1\times \Sigma _g$$ S 1 × Σ g and the lens spaces, the results match with earlier computations using Feynman diagrams on K3. The second part is motivated by a very curious paper (Gukov in J Geom Phys 168, 104311, 2021), where the equivariant index formula for the dimension of the Hilbert space of the Rozansky–Witten theory is interpreted as a kind of Verlinde formula. In this interpretation, the fixed points of the target hyperkähler geometry correspond to certain ‘states’. We extend the formalism of part one to incorporate equivariance on the target geometry. For certain non-compact hyperkähler geometry, we can apply the tilting theory to the derived category of coherent sheaves, whose objects label the Wilson loops, allowing us to pick a basis for the latter. We can then compute the fusion products in this basis and we show that the objects that have diagonal fusion rules are intimately related to the fixed points of the geometry. Using these objects as basis to compute the dimension of the Hilbert space leads back to the Verlinde formula, thus answering the question that motivated the paper.

LetHbe a real Hilbert space. LetT1,T2:H→Hbek1-,k2-strictly pseudononspreading mappings; letαnandβnbe two real sequences in (0,1). For givenx0∈H, the sequencexnis generated iteratively byxn+1=βnxn+1-βnTw1αnγfxn+I-μαnBTw2xn,∀n∈N, whereTwi=1−wiI+wiTiwithi=1,2andB:H→His strongly monotone and Lipschitzian. Under some mild conditions on parametersαnandβn, we prove that the sequencexnconverges strongly to the setFixT1∩FixT2of fixed points of a pair of strictly pseudononspreading mappingsT1andT2.

Let [Formula: see text] be a compact, connected, almost complex manifold of dimension [Formula: see text] endowed with a [Formula: see text]-preserving circle action with isolated fixed points. In this paper, we analyze the “geography problem” for such manifolds, deriving equations relating the Chern numbers to the index [Formula: see text] of [Formula: see text]. We study the symmetries and zeros of the Hilbert polynomial, which imply many rigidity results for the Chern numbers when [Formula: see text]. We apply these results to the category of compact, connected symplectic manifolds. A long-standing question posed by McDuff and Salamon asked about the existence of non-Hamiltonian actions with isolated fixed points. This question was answered recently by Tolman, with an explicit construction of a 6-dimensional manifold with such an action. One issue that this raises is whether one can find topological criteria that ensure the manifold can only support a Hamiltonian or only a non-Hamiltonian action. In this vein, we are able to deduce such criteria from our rigidity theorems in terms of relatively few Chern numbers, depending on the index. Another consequence is that, if the action is Hamiltonian, the minimal Chern number coincides with the index and is at most [Formula: see text].

LetEbe a smooth Banach space with a norm·. LetV(x,y)=x2+y2-2 x,Jyfor anyx,y∈E, where·,·stands for the duality pair andJis the normalized duality mapping. We define aV-strongly nonexpansive mapping byV(·,·). This nonlinear mapping is nonexpansive in a Hilbert space. However, we show that there exists aV-strongly nonexpansive mapping with fixed points which is not nonexpansive in a Banach space. In this paper, we show a weak convergence theorem and strong convergence theorems for fixed points of this elastic nonlinear mapping and give the existence theorem.

The aim of this paper is to prove some convergence theorems for a general fixed point iterative method defined by means of the new concept of admissible perturbation of a nonlinear operator, introduced in [Rus, I. A., An abstract point of view on iterative approximation of fixed points, Fixed Point Theory 13 (2012), No. 1, 179–192]. The obtained convergence theorems extend and unify some fundamental results in the iterative approximation of fixed points due to Petryshyn [Petryshyn, W. V., Construction of fixed points of demicompact mappings in Hilbert space, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 14 (1966), 276–284] and Browder and Petryshyn [Browder, F. E. and Petryshyn, W. V., Construction of fixed points of nonlinear mappings in Hilbert space, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 20 (1967), No. 2, 197–228].

In this paper, we prove convergence theorems for a fixed point iterative algorithm of Krasnoselskij-Mann typeassociated to the class of enriched nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. The results are direct generaliza-tions of the corresponding ones in [Berinde, V.,Approximating fixed points of enriched nonexpansive mappings byKrasnoselskij iteration in Hilbert spaces, Carpathian J. Math., 35 (2019), No. 3, 293–304.], from the setting of Hilbertspaces to Banach spaces, and also of some results in [Senter, H. F. and Dotson, Jr., W. G.,Approximating fixed pointsof nonexpansive mappings, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc.,44(1974), No. 2, 375–380.], [Browder, F. E., Petryshyn, W. V., Construction of fixed points of nonlinear mappings in Hilbert space, J. Math. Anal. Appl., 20 (1967), 197–228.], byconsidering enriched nonexpansive mappings instead of nonexpansive mappings. Many other related resultsin literature can be obtained as particular instances of our results.

We introduce an Ishikawa iterative scheme by the viscosity approximate method for finding a common element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem and the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping in Hilbert space. Then, we prove some strong convergence theorems which extend and generalize S. Takahashi and W. Takahashi's results (2007).

By using the methods of operator theory, all solvable extensions of minimal operator generated by first order pantograph-type delay differential-operator expression in the Hilbert space of vector-functions on finite interval have been considered. As a result, the exact formula for the spectrums of these extensions is presented. Applications of obtained results to the concrete models are illustrated.
