In this paper, we prove convergence theorems for a fixed point iterative algorithm of Krasnoselskij-Mann typeassociated to the class of enriched nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. The results are direct generaliza-tions of the corresponding ones in [Berinde, V.,Approximating fixed points of enriched nonexpansive mappings byKrasnoselskij iteration in Hilbert spaces, Carpathian J. Math., 35 (2019), No. 3, 293–304.], from the setting of Hilbertspaces to Banach spaces, and also of some results in [Senter, H. F. and Dotson, Jr., W. G.,Approximating fixed pointsof nonexpansive mappings, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc.,44(1974), No. 2, 375–380.], [Browder, F. E., Petryshyn, W. V., Construction of fixed points of nonlinear mappings in Hilbert space, J. Math. Anal. Appl., 20 (1967), 197–228.], byconsidering enriched nonexpansive mappings instead of nonexpansive mappings. Many other related resultsin literature can be obtained as particular instances of our results.

Abstract This paper presents a new test method for assessing chloride induced stress corrosion cracking occurred in metal canisters used for storing spent nuclear fuels. The material applied to experiment is austenitic stainless steel, SS304 similarly used on manufacturing canisters and the experiment is carried out with immersing a compact tension specimen to chloride solution made up with artificial sea salt. Constant displacement condition using bolt tightening is applied to the test and a load is measured as a function of time using a load cell. Five specimens are used for the experiment at temperature of 50 °C for several months and stress intensity factor is calculated through the measured relaxed load and crack length on fractured surface of the specimen. Crack growth rate is presented in terms of test periods and consequently this apparatus suggests a method for evaluating structural integrity of chloride stress corrosion cracking.

Performance on random-dot global motion tasks may reach adult-like levels before 4 or as late as 16 years of age, depending on the specific parameters used to create the stimuli. Later maturation has been found for slower speeds, smaller spatial displacements, and sparser dot arrays. This protracted development on global motion tasks may depend on limitations specific to spatial aspects of a motion stimulus rather than to motion mechanisms per se. The current study investigated the impact of varying stimulus area (9, 36, and 81 deg2) on the global motion coherence thresholds of children 4–6 years old and adults for three signal dot displacements (∆x = 1, 5, and 30 arcmin). We aimed to determine whether children could achieve mature performance for the smallest displacements, a condition previously found to show late maturation, when a larger stimulus area was used. Coherence thresholds were higher in children compared to adults in the 1 and 5 arcmin displacement conditions, as reported previously, and this did not change as a function of stimulus area. However, both children and adults performed better with a larger stimulus area in the 30 arcmin displacement condition only. This suggests that immature spatial integration, as measured by stimulus area, cannot account for immaturities in global motion perception.

In this paper, the static and free vibration analyses of the sandwich folded plate modeled by layer-wise (LW) theory are studied. In the theory, the continuity displacement condition is imposed at the layer’s interfaces. Each layer of the plate is modeled by the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT). The numerical solutions are obtained by using the cellbased smoothed discrete shear gap method (CS-DSG3). Some examples are implemented to demonstrate the accuracy of the LW theory for the sandwich folded plate analyses.

An origami design pattern is integrated to an active control system through camber morphing for vibration suppression and gust load alleviation in a typical wing section. Origami design parameters are optimized to have high sensitivity in chordwise fold angle and a maximum camber of 10% chord. A LQR controller is used to achieve the desired vibration suppression in a lightly damped aeroelastic system. The desired vibration suppression is achieved with change in camber of below 5% chord for an initial displacement condition induced vibration and less than 1% chord for gust excited vibration. Results also show that camber morphing is effective in suppressing vibration in both pitch and plunge degrees of freedom simultaneously.

Let (X; d) be a metric space, Y ? X a nonempty closed subset of X and let f : Y ? X be a non self operator. In this paper we study the following problem: under which conditions on f we have all of the following assertions: 1. The operator f has a unique fixed point; 2. The operator f satisfies a retraction-displacement condition; 3. The fixed point problem for f is well posed; 4. The operator f has the Ostrowski property. Some applications and open problems related to these questions are also presented.

Abstract In this paper we consider the following problems: (1) Which weakly Picard operators satisfy a retraction- displacement condition? (2) For which weakly Picard operators the fixed point problem is well posed? (3) Which weakly Picard operators have Ostrowski property? Some applications and open problems are also presented.

Kata Kunci : pemecah gelombang, perangkat lunak Plaxis versi 8, deformasi ekstrem, Pancamaya Banyuwangi Marine geology and geotechnical analyses are indeed important in order to get a safe breakwater design. To build a safe infrastructure, these analyses would produce a model to describe the displacement condition of marine sedimen. Applying 8 meters height of breakwater and 1 kN/m2 current, the Plaxis software v.8 gave a result 72,77*10-3 m of total deformation. In addition, an extreme deformation occurred in the middle of -5,50 meters breakwater, while equilibrium deformation occurred around areas between toe and breakwater body. Keywords : breakwater, Plaxis software v.8, extreme deformation, Pancamaya Banyuwangi
