Fuzzy sets have been extensively researched and results have been developed based on the extensions of fuzzy sets. In this chapter, fuzzy sets and its extensions are discussed. Z-numbers along with weighted sum product assessment method is used to obtain a feasible solution to the location selection problem for installation of smog towers in a densely populated locality. The degrees of freedom namely degree of membership, degree of non-membership and the degree of hesitancy have been expressed as Zadeh’s Z-number with probability quotient for the degrees. Further, ranking of the alternatives based on Z-numbers and WASPAS to allocate smog towers to residential areas stricken by air pollution.

This study aims to determine the location of the transit warehouse of PT. TG. For reasons of corporate strategy, so that PT. TG conducted a search for warehouse transit locations by considering five factors. The five factors are population density, distance from the head office, ease of access to the location, land price factors, and social environmental factors. The search for the location of the transit warehouse was carried out precisely to support the progress of the company. The five criteria are grouped into two types, namely benefits and costs. Management of PT. TG provides six alternative warehouse transit locations. Selection of location for the transit warehouse of PT. TG is important because the warehouse is an important facility in a company. The warehouse has an important role in ensuring the supply chain for inventory goods. The method used is the Simple Additive Weight method and the Weight Aggregated Sum Product Assessment method. The results of the weight calculation against the criteria produce an option that can help the management of PT. TG in making the decision for the location of the transit warehouse. One of the six alternatives will be selected based on the value of the largest V or Q calculation. The results of the processing of the SAW method and the WASPAS method show that Sunggal Subdistrict is the best location, with results V = 0.773 and Q = 0.746.

The purpose of this article is to propose a fuzzy multi-attribute perfor- mance measurement (MAPM) framework using the merits of both a novel Weighted Aggregated Sum-Product Assessment method with Fuzzy values (WASPAS-F) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The object of this study is to select the best shopping centre construction site in Vilnius. A number of conflicting qualitative and quantitative attributes exist for evaluating alternative construction sites. Qualitative attributes are accompanied by ambiguities and vagueness. This makes fuzzy logic a more natural approach to this kind of multi-attribute decision making (MADM) prob- lems. Fuzzy AHP is applied for assigning weights of the attributes and WASPAS-F method is used to determine the most suitable alternative.<br /><br />

Edge computing is proved to be an effective solution for the Internet of Things (IoT)-based systems. Bringing the resources closer to the end devices has improved the performance of the networks and reduced the load on the cloud. On the other hand, edge computing has some constraints related to the amount of the resources available on the edge servers, which is considered to be limited as compared with the cloud. In this paper, we propose Software-Defined Networking (SDN)-based resources allocation and service placement system in the multi-edge networks that serve multiple IoT applications. In this system, the resources of the edge servers are monitored using the proposed Edge Server Application (ESA) to determine the state of the edge server and, therefore, the acceptable services by each server. Benefiting from the information gathered by ESA, the service offloading decision would be taken by the proposed SDN Non-core Application (SNA) in a way that ensures an efficient load distribution and better resources utilization for the edge servers. A Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment Method (WASPAS) was used to determine the best edge server. The proposed system was compared with a non-SDN system and showed improvement in the performance and the utilization of resources of the edge servers. Furthermore, the request handling time was considerably reduced and settled in constant rates for a different number of devices.

This study explains the application of the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment method in determining the best rice to be used for making pancake cakes. The steps taken to determine the best rice using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment method are: (1) Prepare all rice data to be calculated, (2) Make rice data in the form of matrix x and normalize the data matrix x into normalized data, ( 3) Calculate the alternative value for the best rice by using the formula Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment so that the ranking value is found. After these steps are carried out, the best rice that is right to be used as a pancake cake ingredient is pelita rice with a yield of 7.12 by occupying the first rank. Proving the results of the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment method, a questionnaire was conducted directly to pancake cake traders, especially those in Tegal, which produced a percentage of 80% from 100, which said that pelita rice was rice worthy of being used as a material for pancake cakes because the pancake produced is more fragrant and fresher and the price is relatively cheap.</em></p></div>

This study explains the implementation using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment method in determining the best rice to be used for making Serabi cakes, the case was taken from a Serabi cake seller in Tegal City, Central Java with the aim of providing knowledge to Serabi cake traders to be more detailed in determining the rice that is used. suitable for use in making Serabi not just rice is cheap, but it is necessary to see the shape and characteristics of the whole rice. The steps taken to determine the best rice which will then be used as the basis for making Serabi cakes using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment method are: (1) Prepare a matrix in which is the value of each set of criteria, (2) Normalize matrix data x becomes normalized data, (3) Calculates alternative values using Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment formula so that the ranking value is found. After these steps are carried out, in this study the best rice that is right to be used as a material for making Serabi is Pelita rice with a yield of 7.12 by occupying the first rank.
