In order to understand the characteristics and flow characteristics of the low permeability carbonate reservoir of Middle East, in this paper, we take a Middle Eastern oil field as an example, using constant-rate mercury penetration technique, analyzing the micro pore structure characteristics of carbonate cores. The results show that, the pore radius distribution characteristics of different permeability is similar, mostly between 90-200μm, the peak occur at about 120μm. After that, we get the main factor affecting the reservoir physical quality of carbonate reservoir is throat rather than pore. And compared with the same permeability of sandstone cores, found that even if a poor sorting and strong heterogeneity of carbonate cores, but due to its throat contribution to permeability is very balanced, show the low permeability carbonate difficulty of development smaller than sandstone, only reducing the pore throat ratio, improve the ability of reservoir seepage, can have a good development effect.

As a natural nanomaterial, the bentonite is widely used in industry and engineering, and it is used in the anti-seepage (infiltration) project in civil engineer because of its low permeability. The micro-pore structure characteristics of the bentonite with the different dehydration methods are measured by Mercury Intrusion Porosimetry (MIP) in this text. Then the effects of the dehydration methods on the micro-pore structure characteristics of bentonite are analysed and the detailed reasons of the test errors are given. The results of the research have certain referential value for the application of the bentonite in civil engineering and play a guiding role on how to reduce the errors and to improve the authenticity and the reliability of the test.

The 21st century witnessed the development of the oil extraction industry in Russia due to the intensifica- tion of its production at the existing traditional fields of Western Siberia, the Volga region and other oil-extracting regions, and due discovering new oil and gas provinces. At that time the path to the development of fields in Eastern Siberia was already paved. The large-scale discoveries of a number of fields made here in the 70s-80s of the 20th century are only being developed now. The process of development itself is rather slow in view of a number of reasons. Create a problem of high cost value of oil extraction in the region. One of the major tasks is obtaining the maximum oil recovery factor while reducing the development costs. The carbonate layer lying within the Katangsky suite is low-permeability, and its inventories are categorised as hard to recover. Now, the object is at a stage of trial development, which foregrounds researches on selecting the effective methods of oil extraction.
