Two new species of the subgenus Egadroma Motschulsky, 1855 of the genus Stenolophus Dejean, 1821 are described: S. (Egadroma) melniki sp. nov. from Thailand and S. (Egadroma) ovchinnikovi sp. nov. from Pakistan and India. Stenolophus (E.) ovatulus (Bates, 1889), comb. nov., which was originally described within Acupalpus Latreille, 1829, is redescribed on the basis of material from China (Hainan and Fujiang provinces), Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia (first records from Thailand and Cambodia). The following new synonym is proposed: Stenolophus (E.) ovatulus (Bates, 1889) = Egadroma fukiensis Jedlička, 1953, syn. nov.

The subgenus Chinapterus Berlov, 1998 of the genus Pterostichus is briefly reviewed and a new synonym is proposed: Pterostichus singularis Tschitschérine, 1889 = Pterostichus balthasari Jedlička, 1937 syn. nov. Two new species are described: Pterostichus (Chinapterus) lianhuaensissp. nov. and Pterostichus (Chinapterus) liupanensissp. nov.Pterostichus przewalskyi Tschitschérine, 1888 is moved from subgenus Sinoreophilus Sciaky, 1996 to Chinapterus, and lectotypes are designated for P. balthasari and P. przewalskyi. A key to four species of the subgenus Chinapterus is provided.

In recent decades, major advances in the systematics of the Western Hemisphere genus Paracloeodes Day have been made in South America. Despite the taxonomic progress, uncertainties in identification remain due to the morphological similarities among some nymphs and due to the general lack of knowledge of the imago stages (only 4 of 20 are described from throughout the range of the genus). This study addresses these impediments in part through description of the male imagoes of six species (P. atroari Nieto & Salles, P. binodulus Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty, P. ibicui Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty, P. pacawara Nieto & Salles, P. peri Nieto & Salles, P. waimiri Nieto & Salles), description of two new species based on morphologically distinct nymphs (P. aristotelesi sp. n. and P. carolinae sp. n.), description of one new species based on morphologically distinct nymph and male imago (P. prismatobranchus sp. n.); redescription of three species based on type material (P. ibicui Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty, P. leptobranchus Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty and P. eurybranchus Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty); proposal of one new synonym based on morphological analyses of specimens from Bolivia, Brazil and Uruguay, including type specimens (P. pacawara = P. morellii Emmerich & Nieto); and the presentation of a new key to identify nymphs from South America to the species level.

An annotated checklist of fourteen known Syzygium species from Micronesia with information on distribution, ecology and consulted specimens. Two new species are described, Syzygium guamense and Syzygium mesekerrak, one new synonym is made for species occurring in the region and S.nitidum is lectotypified. A key to all species and two plates with leaves, flowers and fruits of all native species are included to aid identification.

Thrypticus caeruleus Naglis & Negrobov sp. nov. and T. kechevi Naglis & Negrobov sp. nov. are newly described from Turkey. Thrypticus viridis Parent is redescribed and the hypopygium is figured in detail. A revised checklist and key to males of Palaearctic species of the genus Thrypticus Gerstäcker including 26 valid species are provided. Thrypticus paludicola Negrobov is restored from synonymy with T. intercedens Negrobov based on hypopygial differences. Thrypticus tonsus Negrobov is regarded as new synonym of T. subtilis Negrobov.

Panorpa Linnaeus, 1758 is the largest genus in the scorpionfly family Panorpidae. Herein we describe two new species from eastern China, Panorpa jinhuaensissp. nov. from Jinhua, Zhejiang Province and Panorpa menqiuleiisp. nov. from Yuexi and Huoshan, Anhui Province. Panorpa wrightae Cheng, 1957 from Mount Mogan, Zhejiang Province is considered to be a junior subjective synonym of Panorpa mokansana Cheng, 1957 from the same locality. Panorpa mokansana Cheng, 1957 is redescribed and illustrated in detail. A key to species of Panorpa from eastern China is also provided.

Two new species of the stonefly genus Neoperla, N. jiangae sp. nov. and N. jiaoxihe sp. nov., are described from Shaanxi Province of northwest China. The new species are compared with related congeners. Neoperla flagellata Li & Murányi, 2012 (in Li et al. 2012b) is placed as a synonym of N. bicornua Wu, 1973. The Neoperla sinensis species subgroup in the N. montivaga group is proposed and defined.

Prionocyphon costipennis sp. nov. and P. macrodascilloides sp. nov. are described from North Taiwan. Orientoprionocyphon Klausnitzer is a new synonym of Mescirtes Motschulsky. Prionocyphon herthae Klausnitzer, Prionocyphon laosensis Yoshitomi et Satô, Prionocyphon rutai Klausnitzer, Prionocyphon ruthsteuerae Klausnitzer, Prionocyphon weigeli Klausnitzer, and Prionocyphon yoshitomii Klausnitzer are transferred to Mescirtes. Prionocyphon picigrandis is a new substitute name for Cyphon grande Pic (nec Cyphon grandis Tournier). Prionocyphon minusculus Klausnitzer is transferred to Mescirtes. Prionocyphon ovalis Kiesenwetter is reported from China for the first time. A key to the genera of Scirtidae with modified antennae, and a key to the East and Southeast Asian species of Prionocyphon are included. A catalogue of Mescirtes, Prionocyphon and Prionoscirtes inhabiting East and Southeast Asia is presented.
