Methane in coal mine gas is the research focus about the prevention of gas hazard and the development and utilization of coal bed methane. There have been more researches on heavy hydrocarbon in coal mine gas and a consensus has been formed about heavy hydrocarbon. Compared with methane and heavy hydrocarbon in coal mine gas, the research on hydrogen in coal mine gas is few and just unfolding. In this paper, 1097 gas samples are prepared based on 1097 coal samples. And, the hydrogen in gas samples is tested by Gas Chromatography. The research reveals that: the hydrogen contents in all gas samples can be detected, and the maximum value of hydrogen is 4.8% while the mean value is 0.645%, so the presence of hydrogen in gas is universal. 2 contents of hydrogen exceed 4%, 47 contents are between 2%-4% and 206 contents are between 1%-2%, thus, the content of hydrogen in gas is roughly the same with the content of heavy hydrocarbon in gas. It is suggested that: more attentions should be given to the hydrogen in gas to be an important index of coal and gas outburst and to be an important index of gas explosion, safety of coal storage and transportation.

Gas accident is one of the most common accidents in coal mine in china. This paper argues that the gas dangerousness is determined by many factors which are difficult to quantitative risk, and deems these factors are quantified and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, comprehensive evaluation, which are benefit evaluation and master the coal mine’s gas safety level, and determine the safety investment direction and improve the benefit of safety investment that will reduce the coal mine gas occurrence probability, so as to reduce and avoid the happening of coal mine gas accident. The basic steps: first, to analyze and master all kinds of gas accident reasons; Second, to determine the assemble of the gas risk factors evaluation, determine the evaluation grade assemble; Third, to proceed the single factor evaluation, determine fuzzy relationship matrix and the fuzzy weight vector of evaluation factor, and to choose the appropriate composition operator, vector analysis with the result of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation; Finally, people will take corresponding measures to prevent according to the result of evaluation that shows safety weaknesses.

Now the coal mine gas risk index and evaluation system has a lot of deficiency. The paper establishes a coal mine gas risk index system and explains the meaning of each index on the basis of analysis of gas accident for recent years. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation has become an effective and popular method, so the paper evaluates the coal mine gas accident risk using fuzzy mathematical safety evaluation, and takes this method in six mines of one group, at last the paper provides some suggestions for this method

Aimed at the frequency gas accident of coal mine, we designed a coal mine gas monitoring system based on Arduino microcontroller. The MQ-4 gas sensor was used to collect gas concentration, wireless ZigBee was used to transfer data of gas concentration to PC. The system can display gas concentration real-timely by LCD and use SD card to store the data. The system will send out sound and light alarm when the gas concentration overruns. Industrial tests have been carried out in Wuyang coal mine. Results show that gas monitoring system can well adapt to environment of underground coal mine and the measurement is accurate. The system is real-time monitoring and early warning. It has the characteristics of low power consumption, low cost, wireless, good market prospect.
