In-situ FTIR spectroelectrochemistry has been applied to determine difference spectra in the region 1800 to 1000 cm−1 associated with the oxidation of TPPH2, TPPMg, TPPCu, TPPZn, TPPCo, TPPMnCl, and TPPFeCl. In all cases, formation of the π-cation radical results in two characteristic absorbance decreases near 1600 and 1485 cm−1, and five characteristic absorbance increases near 1415, 1350, 1285, 1225, and 1005 cm−1. Formation of the π-dication was observed for TPPZn, TPPMg, and TPPCo, and gave rise to a new absorbance increase near 1600 cm−1, and a shift to higher frequency of bands in the 1200 to 1400 cm−1 region. Perchlorate coordination to oxidized TPPZn, TPPMg, and TPPCo gives rise to bands near 1140 and 1030 cm−1.

The high-resolution Fourier transform infrared spectrum of nitrogen trifluoride NF3has been studied in the v1+ v4perpendicular band region around 1523 cm−1. All experimental data have been refined applying various reduction forms of the effective rovibrational Hamiltonian developed for an isolated degenerate state of a symmetric top molecule. The v1= v4= 1 excited state of the14NF3oblate molecule was treated with models taking into account ℓ- andk-type intravibrational resonances. Parameters up to sixth order have been accurately determined and the unitary equivalence of the derived parameter sets in different reductions was demonstrated.

A new prepolymer of polyurethane acrylate (PUA) was synthesized from cyclohexanone- formaldehyde resin (CFR) with high hydroxyl value, toluene diisocyanate (TDI) and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) by using dibutyltion dilaurate as catalyst via two steps. The result from Fourier transform infrared spectrum (FT-IR) showed that methacrylate group was introduced into the terminal of CFR by using TDI as bridge and curable PUA was obtained. Then, the PUA was cured by using azodiisobutyronitrile as catalyst at 110-130°C for 2h. The resulting product has excellent solvent resistance.
