Software product development requires connecting of specialized information and knowhow. Therefore, planning and production are widely done in networked projects. This chapter studies inter-firm collaboration to explore the role of face-to-face meetings and information and communication technology in knowledge transfer in product development by using case studies of software companies in Oulu, Finland. Clusters are important in forming trust and mutual understanding. Thus, a compact city region and effective social networks are beneficial for inter-firm collaboration. However, information and communication technology is very valuable for routine communication and documentation, but also in distance collaboration. Geographical distance affects inter-firm collaboration in terms of practical arrangements, such as working hours, yet cultural differences bring additional challenges. This chapter considers and scrutinizes social networking in collaborative product development, and the role of clusters and information and communication technology in such development, as among the key success factors.

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has been implemented in various fields, including in government. To support the implementation of e-Government (e-Gov) and improve the quality of public services, many technology-based applications have been created by government agencies, both central and local governments. DISKOMINFOARPUS Cimahi City built an application called SILPa KAMI to support the vision of Cimahi Smart City. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method that aims to determine how the implementation and sustainability of the SILPa KAMI application and what kind of characteristics the agencies should have so it can replicate this application. The results of the study reveal that the implementation of the SILPa KAMI application is running well because it has fulfilled various success factors of e-Gov implementation which is also marked by the sustainability even though there are still obstacles. Also, the use of ICT based on the e-leadership aspect, the information network infrastructure aspect, the information management aspect, the business environment aspect, as well as the community and human resources aspect has been optimally utilized. This application is relatively easy to be replicated by other agencies. The agencies that can replicate this application must have the availability of budget, the availability of related facilities and infrastructure and the availability of reliable ICT managers.

Students can learn through printed teaching materials, audio and video programs, weblogs, and or other media based on ICT (Information and Communication Technology). Yet, educators still play an  essenstial  role in designing every learning activity. This research  aims  to produce a prototype of the product development of accessible IT teaching materials for Special Education undergarduate program students. This research applied the ADDEM design model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Deliver, Evaluate, and Maintenance). Results were gathered by examining the feasibility on aspectts of  efficacy and practicality of the develped product. Data were analyzed quantitatively by looking at the results of the validity and practicality test. The results of the validity test from the validators showed that all of the assesment items got a good rating  of 3.0, in contrast the results of the practicality test, which was done by undergraduate students showed that there was an improvement on the score of the end-of-term test compared to the score of the mid-term test.   Keywords: learning materials, accessible learning.

Case overview In 2009, Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF) along with Media Labs Asia and the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) established the Chanderi Weavers ICT Resource Centre (CWIRC) as a self-sufficient community information resource center involved in skills’ enhancement of weavers at Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh. The next three years of CWIRC resulted in an overall growth of the project with progress in the various domains of handloom industry through ICT-enabled development of weavers and weaving. The project not only aimed at the handloom industry revival and development, but also advanced in other sectors such as education, health and tourism. Osama Manzar, the DEF founder, is in a dilemma as to whether the local community of weavers in Chanderi would be able to continue with the sustainable ecosystem created in Chanderi. Is it the right time to exit Chanderi? Expected learning outcomes Issues related to the market development at the bottom of the pyramid; managing local communities and building their capabilities for marketing; marketing strategies of community marketing efforts; and key success factors for ensuring successful completion of any developmental project. The article comprises the characteristics of projects within Information and Communication Technology (ICT), indicates some problems occurring during the implementation of such projects and involves their success factors. Sources of problems are perceived mostly in a poor adjustment of internal organization of ICT sector enterprises to assure appropriate support for the project team, too low flexibility of traditional methods of ICT project implementation and organization processes. Project implementation is considered from the ICT sector enterprises point of view, and the indicated factors of success in the measure accomplishment processes management are associated with the ICT project (presented as number 1 in Table 1), process management in ICT enterprise (number 2 in Table 1), as well as elements of such an enterprise (number 3) and its environment (4).
