Abstract Process control in manufacturing industries usually lacks flexibility and adaptability. The process planning is traditionally pursued within the production scheduling and then remains unchanged until a major overhaul is necessary. Consequently, no process knowledge acquired by the machine operators is used to adapt, and thus improve, the process control. In this paper, a fully automated process control solution for container logistics is proposed, which is based on deep neural networks and has been trained from process steering decisions made by employees. Further, a fully automated framework for the labeling of container images is introduced, making use of inherent properties of the logistic process. This allows to automatically generate data sets without the need for manual labeling by an operator.

Dieser Artikel beschreibt das Bestreben der BASF als Endanwender von Automatisierungssystemen und verschiedener Partner, die Lösungen im Bereich der Prozesssteuerung anbieten, einen Demonstrator zu schaffen, der auf aktuell entwickelte Konzepte und aufkommende Standards zurückgreift. Der Demonstrator wurde zum ersten Mal während der NAMUR-Vollversammlung im November 2019 gezeigt. Nach einem Überblick über die für diesen Artikel relevanten offenen Automatisierungsinitiativen folgt ein Kapitel über die Realisierung verschiedener Komponenten des Open Process Automation Standard™ (O-PAS) der OpenGroup. Anschließend wird beschrieben, wie die Module-Type-Package-Technologie in der Design- und Engineering-Phase hohe Synergien mit O-PAS schafft, bevor gezeigt wird, wie NAMUR-Open-Architecture-Use-Cases auf dieser Infrastruktur realisiert werden können. Abschließend gibt der Artikel eine Zusammenfassung über die oben genannten Synergien der verschiedenen Teile und einen Ausblick auf die nächsten Jahre.
