The estimation of thickness of trap rocks in the earthquake‐affected Koyna area is an important parameter for revealing the topography that existed before the Deccan volcanism. In the present work, a case history is presented delineating a three‐dimensional block model for the Koyna area by the spectral analysis of aeromagnetic data. The thickness in the area was found to vary from 700 to 2200 m, which correlates well with the results of other geophysical investigations.

Block model is the precondition of open-p it mine o ptimization boundary design and mining design. In this paper , after studying the ore deposit model that using the optimization boundary, p ut forward to establish ore deposit quality block model based on the proposed Sandaozhuang engineering geological profile . Using prospecting line profile CAD drawings that o btained during the exploration phase, us e two-dimensional coordinate conversion three-dimensional coordinates, the profile boundary curve smoothing, apply D elaunay triangulation and other technology to establish ore body contour model. Establish the ore body quality model based on the ore body contour model, use i nverse distance weighted method in geostatistics for the assignment of ore body quality model, get the Sandaozhuang open pit quality block model. And ba sed on this to estimate the reserves , lay the foundation for the follow work of the mine.

Existing numerical grid generation based on Surpac block model is inefficient when the grid quantity is large. This article obtains from the existing methods, summarizes the complete process, and adds the key details of it. By setting simpler nodes condensation algorithm, improving the problem of low conversion efficiency caused by the too large node number, achieving the fast effective conversion of Surpac block model to FLAC3D model by using C language programming. This new method has been used in building rock burst hazard analysis model of Ling-Long gold mine, which proves this modeling method is feasible and effective.

Based on the 3DMine three-dimensional mining software, a geological database model of the Changpai area is established, and a three-dimensional model of the ore body is established based on the principle and geological understanding of the circle. We carried out sample combination by a geological database model to process ore bodies of erratic high grades. We also stablished a block model, and used single assignment and ordinary Kriging method to assign value to the block model, used attribute visualization to intuitively reflect the distribution law of the ore grade in a three-dimensional space, and the block report can quickly estimate the grade, volume, ore quantity, etc., of which the results are more accurate. The common Kriging method has obvious advantages in valuation, and it is worthy for further promotion in the estimation of uranium reserves.
