This article conducts mineral processing experimental study on a certain iron tailing ore in Hebei. According to the ore characteristics, the final flowsheet of stage grinding - weak magnetic - strong magnetic - anionic reverse flotation is determined to sort the ore. Under the conditions that grinding fineness is -200 mesh accounting for 60.0%, collector is butyl xanthate and activator is copper sulfate, this test can obtain zinc concentrate that grade is 36.25% and recovery is 84.15%

The mineral processing flow sheet and reagent system of flotation copper minerals from a large copper-iron deposit in Yunnan were fully investigated. The results indicate that the optimum conditions for flotation of copper minerals from the material were identified as grinding fineness of 85%, dosage of CaO at 2000g/t , dosage of Na2S at 200 g/t, dosage of butyl xanthate 40g/t. Under such a condition, a copper recovery of 88.17% with a concentrate grade of 26.86% was achieved from the material using a closed circuit flow sheet of "one-stage roughing flotation, one-stage cleaning flotation and one-stage scavenging flotation.

In light of the characteristics of Pb-Zn sulphide ores with fine dissemination size, close intergrowth and contain large number of slime,a new flotation flowsheet is containing lead preferential flotation,ammonium dibutyl dithiophosphate as collector,Na2CO3as pH modifiers, and ZnSO4as depressor. Then zinc is recovered by using CuSO4as activator, butyl xanthate as collector, successfully realizing the separation of lead and zinc .The grade of lead concentration is 50.60%,containing 3.93%Zn. The recovery of lead is 87.78%.In addition, the grade of zinc concentration is 47.75%, containing 0.48%Pb and the recovery of zinc is 88.58%.

This study presents sulfide ores with lead 0.71%, Zinc5.07% from Laos, using a grinding (grinding fineness -0.075mm, 80%). Then, the lead ores is recovered by flotation first. Second, the middling ores is returned in preferential floatation. The mixed collector is used in all flotation such as ethyl xanthogenate , butyl xanthate and SN-9.After flotation, the grade of lead concentrate is 63.63%, and a recovery is 83.26% .In addition, the grade of zinc is 56.33%,a recovery is 86.63%. It can result in obvious increase in yields of mineral processing and economic better effect in production, compared to the old technology.

In this short communication it is shown that it is possible to undertake inexpensive but useful preliminary mineral studies using single–wire HGMS. Such studies enable an assessment to be made of the viability of HGMS as a large-scale processing technique for particular mineral slurries.
