In this article we will touch upon one of the most important oil region in Africa, the Niger Delta, it is located in southern Nigeria, with an area of about 292,407.m2 Niger Delta knows how geological feature, offer huge reserves of hydrocarbons. The stratigraphic sequence of the Niger Delta consists of three broad lithostratigraphically. Units and its geochemical analyses of rocks have shown that clays from the lower coastal plain, marine Delta sediments (prodelta) and completely marine areas can be enriched with both terrestrial plant material and non-structural organic matter. That is an indicator of wealth.Forcados (forcados) in the Niger Delta province and follow plays a crucial role in the Nigerian economy and the world oil exchange. Forkados field, its physical and geographical location, Characteristics, molar and mass content of oil composition

Abstract Miocene deposits in the eastern portion of the Greater Ughelli, Central Swamp and Coastal Swamp depobelts contain well-developed brackish-water trace fossil assemblages. Twelve ichnogenera have been identified, namely: Asterosoma, Bergaueria, Chondrites, Gyrolithes, Thalassinoides, Lockeia, Palaeophycus, ?Conichnus, Planolites, Siphonichnus, Skolithos and Diplocraterion. In addition, common non-descript, passively filled burrows and fugichnia (escape structures) have also been observed. The above-mentioned ichnogenera and associated non-descript structures can be arranged into six distinct and recurring ichnoassociations within the Greater Ughelli, Central Swamp and Coastal Swamp depobelts. Each ichnoassociation is comprised of a group of trace fossils which collectively reflect specific environmental conditions during deposition of these Miocene strata. All trace fossil assemblages illustrate deposition in nearshore, restricted settings. Ichnological and sedimentological criteria which may be utilized to recognise brackish-water deposits are discussed and illustrated in pictures of the cores studied.

Apart from the brutal Nigerian civil war (1967 - 1970), nothing else has captured the conscience of the people of the world, vis-à-vis the Nigerian Federation, more than the plight of the people of Niger Delta. It remains the open sore (to borrow Wole Soyinka’s phrase) of the Nigerian Federation. The devastating impact of oil exploration in the area has wreaked havoc of immeasurable proportions on the health, socio-economic and environmental conditions of the people. From the short-lived armed struggle of the late Isaac Adaka Boro in the 1960’s, to the civil resistance method of the late Kenule Saro Wiwa in the early 1990’s, and the present guerrilla tactics of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), the issue of the Niger Delta continues to beg for more constructive attention. This paper aims to ascertain the (in)justice in the Niger Delta through an examination of the concept of justice, and subsequently to recommend strategies for redressing the inherent anomalies.
