Angular distributions of the double differential cross sections for the 48 Ca , 116 Cd (p, n) and the 48 Ti , 116 Sn (n, p) reactions were measured at 300 MeV. A multipole decomposition technique was applied to the spectra to extract the Gamow-Teller (GT) transition strengths. In both (n, p) spectra beyond 8 MeV excitation energy extra B( GT +) strengths which are not predicted by either shell model or QRPA calculations. This extra B( GT +) strengths certainly contribute to the nuclear matrix element of the 2ν2β-decay.

The first-forbidden beta transitions 0− → 0+ and 0− → 2+ from the decay of 144Pr were studied. The corresponding spectrum shape factors and end-point energies were determined by means of a simultaneous fit of the data on both beta spectra with a theoretical function. The contribution of the induced pseudotensor term has been investigated analyzing the available information on spectrum shape factors, angular correlation, and longitudinal polarization. The data corresponding to both transitions were handled simultaneously. The introduction of the induced pseudotensor term is not indispensable for the interpretation of the experimental data. Besides, the nuclear matrix element [Formula: see text] for the 0− → 0+ transition was determined.

Fundamental properties of neutrinos are investigated by studying double beta decays (ββ-decays), while atro-neutrino nucleo-syntheses and astro-neutrino productions are investigated by studying inverse beta decays (inverse β-decays) induced by astro-neutrinos. Neutrino nuclear responses for these ββ and β-decays are crucial for these neutrino studies in nuclei. This reports briefly perspectives on experimental studies of neutrino nuclear responses (square of nuclear matrix element) for ββ-decays and astro-neutrinos by using nuclear and leptonic (muon) charge-exchange reactions
