As people’s living standards continue to ameliorate, people become more and more demanding of the status of eco-environment, and carbon emissions are a key factor affecting the eco-environment. We analyze the carbon emissions intensity and carbon emissions potential of different sectors in China based on the input-output model. The results show that the sector of Production and Supply of Electric Power and Heat Power has the highest embodied carbon emissions intensity because the sector provides the country with necessary electricity and heat power for its economic growth. In addition, this paper determines the key carbon emissions sectors using elasticity method, and the results show that Construction is the most influential carbon emissions sector in the future. By restricting key carbon emissions sectors and encouraging the non-key carbon emissions sectors, we can take into account both economic development and carbon emissions reduction with the multi-objective model. The results show that under the present economic scale of China, carbon emissions can decrease from 11591 million ton to 11011 million ton, with a difference of 580 million ton. This indicates that with the assurance of present economic growth, we can achieve the goal of reducing carbon emissions by adjusting the economic structure. Based on results of this paper, we have also made recommendations for adjusting the economic structure to achieve emission reduction targets.

This study aims to (1) discover the shift of economic structure of East Java Province period 2010 and 2015; (2) to identify the various leading sectors in economic development in East Java Province Period 2010 and 2015. The analysis method used in this research is quantitative descriptive by using the Input-Output approach. The linkages between sectors of the economy, leading sectors, and economic sector multipliers have widely used to analyze this approach. Furthermore, structural shifts are analyzed using a multiplier product matrix (MPM) that can describe the landscape of an economy. The results showed that based on the analysis of MPM has not occurred a shift in economic structure significantly. However, there has been a change in the tertiary sector. Although until now, the economy of East Java Province is still dominated by the secondary industry. The leading industry of East Java Province is owned by the manufacturing industry, although there are other potential sectors as the leading sector.

One of the main objectives of economic policies of developing countries is implementing structural changes to enhance the economic development. Globalization as well as in all over the world, has accelerated this structural change in Kazakhstan. Despite the fact that concept of the economic structure is wide range, the structural change explained by the different approaches in the research, which is important in reflecting different aspects of the country's economic structure and in determining economic plans and policies. Under these circumstances an input - output analysis of economic structure is the main reason to write this paper. For this purpose, in the given research was used input-output tables prepared by the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the period 2005-2009, to examine changes in the structure of economic production by industrial interdependence; changes in production techniques; the intermediate product effectiveness and total efficiency coefficients, to inform about structural changes in the economy and make contribution to policy and plan making process. Research based on analyze of input-output tables prepared by the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a source of data for the years for 2005 and for 2009. For the purpose of the study structural changes were calculated and compared by industrial interdependence with the production techniques, intermediate production usage coefficients on sectoral and macro-level. Thereby, technical results obtained from the explanation of positive and negative aspects of production in Kazakhstan on sector basis, allows to give recommendations.
