AbstractThe systematics of the hymenopterous parasitoids associated with Phoracantha spp. in Australia are reviewed. An illustrated key to species is presented to facilitate their identification as part of ongoing attempts for the biological control of P. semipunctata (Fabricius), an exotic pest on eucalypt trees. Information on the taxonomy, distribution and biology of 18 species of primary and hyperparasitoids associated with Phoracantha spp. are presented. A new braconid genus, Jarra, is described to accommodate three new species, J. phoracantha, J. maculipennis and J. bicolor, and Doryctes diadoxi Nixon (Doryctinae), the latter associated with a buprestid host. Two other new species, Heterospilus nukunu (Doryctinae) and Callibracon moorei (Braconinae) are also described; Iphiaulax morleyi Froggatt is synonymized with Atanycolus tomentosus Szépligeti and I. rubriceps Froggatt is synonymized with Syngaster lepidus Brullé lectotypes are designated for I. morleyi, I. rubriceps and I. phoracanthae Froggatt; and Ipobracon fleviceps flaviceps (Cameron) and I. flaviceps mackayensis Turner are transferred to Callibracon. The encyrtid genus Aventianella is recorded from Australia for the first time and the egg parasitoid of P. semipunctata, A. longoi Siscaro described from Italy, is postulated to be endemic to Australia.

Two new species are described from Honduras: Anelaphus rotundus (Cerambycinae, Elaphidiini); and Euderces hefferni (Cerambycinae, Tillomorphini). A key to species of Apeba Martins & Galileo, 1991, and Giesberteclipta Santos-Silva et al., 2012 are provided. Euderces hefferni sp. nov. is included in a previous key. Rashelapso morrisoni Bezark & Santos-Silva, 2016 is transferred to Giesberteclipta. The holotype of Anelaphus subinermis Linsley, 1957 is illustrated for the first time.

The monotypic subfamily Epitraninae Burks, 1936 (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea, Chalcididae) is reported for the first time in Saudi Arabia. Seven Epitranus species are recorded in the Southwestern and Central regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, of which three species are new: E. delvarei Soliman & Gadallah, sp. nov. (female & male), E. similis Gadallah & Soliman, sp. nov. (male), and E. subinops Soliman & Gadallah, sp. nov. (female), are described and illustrated. Four new records, E. clavatus (Fabricius), E. hamoni complex, E. inops Steffan, and E. torymoides (Risbec), are also reported. An illustrated key to species is provided.

A survey of the whirligig beetles of the genus Patrus Aubé, 1838 occurring in Thailand belonging to the newly designated Patrus landaisi species group is presented. Three new species are described and illustrated: P. garuda sp. nov., P. nanensis sp. nov. and P. phetchabunensis sp. nov.; with P. apicalis (Régimbart, 1891), P. landaisi (Régimbart, 1892), and P. subapicalis (Ochs, 1930) stat. nov. being recorded for the first time in Thailand. Morphological and molecular analyses, together in an integrative approach, support the elevation of P. subapicalis to species status, instead of being a subspecies of P. apicalis. A diagnosis, illustrations of habitus and diagnostic characters, distribution maps, habitat images and a key to species are provided for all known members of the P. landaisi species group that occur in Thailand. A checklist of species in the group is also given.

Three new species: Hesperoschema xuwangi sp. nov. from China (Sichuan), H. bii sp. nov. from China (Xizang), and H. sinicum sp. nov. from China (Guangxi) are described. Hesperoschema malaisei Scheerpeltz, 1965 is new to China (Yunnan), with the male discovered for the first time. The female of H. opacum Schillhammer, 2009 is discovered for the first time. Habitus and diagnostic characteristics of the species treated in this paper were photographed, and a key to species of Hesperoschema Scheerpeltz, 1965 is updated.

AbstractThe genus Synosis Townes, 1959 (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Metopiinae) currently comprises 18 described species. A redescription of the genus is presented and three new species are described and illustrated: S. diaguita new species, S. nigra new species, and S. zezei new species. Two previously known species, Synosis rubinus Alvarado and Rodriguez-Berrios, 2013 and S. townesi Alvarado and Rodriguez-Berrios, 2013 are recorded for the first time in Ecuador. The genus is recorded for the first time for Ecuador and Argentina. An identification key to the New World species is presented.

A taxonomic revision of the species-group related to M. filiformis (Saussure 1854) is presented along with an identification key to species. After Richards (1978) and following the rearrangement of the subgenus Omega de Saussure by Silveira (2008), the species-group considered herein included three species in addition to M. filiformis; i.e. M. buyssoni (Ducke 1906), M. napoensis Richards 1978 and M. omicron Richards 1978.  In the present work, three new species are added: M. nazgul sp. nov.; M. asahi sp. nov.; M. kallindusfloren sp. nov.; the male of M. filiformis is also described here in detail for the first time, and new distributional records are provided for the included species.

A phylogenetic study based on 25 species of Phasgonophorinae (Hymenoptera: Chalcididae) and 36 characters was carried out for ensuring the generic placement of three new species from Saudi Arabia. As a result of this study, the genera Trigonura Sichel, 1866, Bactrochalcis Kieffer, 1912, Centrochalcis Cameron, 1913, Centrochalcidia Gahan & Fagan, 1923, Chalcidellia Girault, 1924, Urochalcis Nikol’skaya, 1952, Trigonurella Bouček, 1988, and Muhabbetella Koçak & Kemal, 2008 are synonymized with Phasgonophora Westwood, 1832. This genus is recorded in Saudi Arabia for the first time, represented here by P. rubens (Klug), and newly described species P. baiocchii Soliman & Gul, sp. nov., P. granulis Delvare, sp. nov., and P. magnanii Gadallah & Gul, sp. nov. An illustrated key to species of the Arabian Peninsula is provided. The relevant specimens were mostly reared from buprestid species infesting Acacia sp. and Dodonaea viscosa in Al-Baha, Asir and Riyadh regions, Saudi Arabia.
